Some social justice people have reacted to white-and-or-priveleged people favoring animals over native people or minorities to just hating animals, huh?

Its understandable in a way,but I don’t see how coming onto a thread about pigeons and berating everyone for agreeing its messed up we domesticated then abandoned them once communication technology replaced them by saying they should put that emotional energy into helping people is good for well...anyone.

I doubt it made them feel anybetter either.

(I say this as someone eternally pissed that all the “save the rainforest” messages that surrounded me as a kid omitted the people who were living there and having their land stolen.)
