I just found out that Starbucks nationwide is getting the Eggnog items back come the 17th. I'm crying.
Don't cry... be happy. The EL is your friend.

Hey Benjamin, I'm sorry to bother you. But I'm trying to sort through my gender identity, and I put up a post regarding how to refer to me as. I was told anon that I can't use both they/their and he/his pronouns simultaneously, and that I have to choose one, but I thought of you right away and that you have both as well. Am I misunderstanding their point or in the wrong at all? I'm still uneducated to some aspects, and I'm genuinely confused right now.
I hope it’s alright if I make this post public and not private, But I think the things I’m gonna address are things that everyone should know c:
Now, understand that this is all a matter of personal opinion BUT:
I see no reason why it’s a problem to use both third party AND male exclusive pronouns. In fact, it baffles me as to why anyone would see that as a problem.
It’s no different then a trans woman saying “Use female pronouns, not male”. She has a preference. She knows what she does and does not want to be called.
YOU have a preference. You know what you do and do not want to be called. You want to be seen how you identify, and that shouldn’t be a problem for people. You choose They, and He. You know- no, WE know that we want to be called They, and He, but not she. Just as the trans girl wants to be called she, but not he. See how it works? It’s simple stuff!! So why is it such a problem for people?
To start attacking someone for choosing two sets of pronouns is unfair. What about people who are bi-gendered and identify as male or female on any given day. Would people attack them and say “No, you can only choose one!!” No! Because Bi-gendered is seen as common in the trans community. (Note I’m using trans as an umbrella term here).
So if they can use two pronouns, so can we. It shouldn’t make a difference based on the pronouns chosen.
Now someone call the white house and make that law.
