It’s not that the show can’t evolve and adapt to a bigger audience, obviously it has to, but it has done a huge turn between seasons 4 and 6, and I believe its possible a show can change and adapt without losing thing like good series story arcs etc.
i really don't agree here. mainly because season four had a terrible story arc, and let's not get into how bad the season finales used to be. i loved RTD's era, mainly because that's the one i started with. but you cannot say that it had a 'better' story arc when the story was "oh no, it's the daleks again and now they've stolen some planets and now let's drive earth back to the solar system."
i guess each to their own, but as much as i love RTD and nine and ten, i think moffat is a far better writer.
