. #NaPoMo 11/30 . . dear customers I see how quickly your impatience is ready to jerk the invisible strings of workers don’t you know we are already underpaid and one pay check away from being homeless but we smile, it’s what the job requires young, old, and old ass hell you become giants behind counters sheroes and heroes inside drive-thru cars acting like masters lashing out demands whipping insults cold like winter as if the sun rise and sets on your nasty behind attitude BO time is brutal and overwhelming you come in by the masses customer after customer after customer bone sucking, meat gnawing vultures clawing at the mental attitude of workers who just want to clock in and clock out without taking shots words like bullets cause they kill just the same and the workers no visible stains just frowns upon faces broken teeth from fighting back words clinched fist squished eyes but we muster up a sunny delight disposition to say “have a nice day now and come back to see us” not what we really want to say just a nice gesture a five star checklist but read between the sarcasm customers you are not always right the fight you do win to get something free corporate to crazy to see the shenanigan we ain’t blind just bound to smiles cause you know the clock governs peace a paycheck food for kids lights running water while we keep running in pursuit of happiness even in our best effort you’re still not satisfied always complaining and nothing is never right why come back if you’re not happy but you do, the same time everyday with that frackle nackle bulls**t . . ©ShAy Black 2018/All rights reserved . . #iamshayblack #shayblack #poetry #teambefierce #customers #itshardtomakealiving #botime #thinkingoutloud #thispoeticlife #keepgrinding #workingitout #thisbrandiamshayblack . .
