This Day Forward • In Response (@equalvision @thisdayforward 2003 - 2018 15th anniv press /250). Thank you again @redroom82 for reminding of the existence of this band. I loved this album when it came out, it was a raw blend of glassjaw/at the drive in and some other punkrock/hardcore stuff that was really good at the time. It was also a time the “scene” was like, bands are doing other things than chuggachugga breakdowns? I never followed up (pre ALLTHEINFORMATIONISONTHEINTERNET days) and yeah. Ffwd 15years later and this is playing on my turntable. And it looks so yummy!!! Don’t you just wanna eat an orange or something now? #thisdayforward #equalvisionrecords

Refusing to be "that girl" I'm not here to make u feel better about ur self, feed you, sex you for what in return... yes I know we need to love unconditionally but im no longer giving my energy to people that aren't on my vibrational level or higher.... will expand on these thoughts later.

2 months have passed since the release of our third Nirvana tribute LP, so a brief highlight as to why the 13 bands included were important to represent the release, which completes the original "Nirvana Studio Album" tribute-trifecta idea hatched so many years ago. # 5 - Circa Survive's root connection to Robo goes back to a transitional year spent in New Jersey just after 9/11, with the label becoming the primary focus of my life - growing from a haphazard hobby (Robodog Records) into a "legitimate" business (Robotic Empire). Jersey didn't exactly feel like home, but the warm embrace offered made it a great place to be during a time of personal and label development. This Day Forward was a then-metalcore band I saw many times while in NJ & Philly, becoming good friends with some of their members and extended crew. Two members went on to form Circa Survive following the dissolution of This Day Forward, and they've been on an upward momentum ever since. Circa Survive arguably being the "biggest" band to have contributed to our Nirvana tribute series has directly helped many open minded fans find our crazy releases and associated weirdo artists. If it weren't for their hard-earned popularity, these three releases may not have had the same wide-reaching impact that they've had, and which I felt they needed to work properly. With the positive effect Circa Survive has had on so many people, the parallels to their band and the ones I looked up to as a kid are myriad. I'm proud and honored to have had them as one of only a few bands to appear on all three tribute LPs. "Doused in Mud, Soaked in Bleach" is available on vinyl and digitally.
