Artist statement: I thought a lot about vanishing and becoming and what those things mean by definition and abstractly. I was intrigued that ‘become’ meant to “begin again”. Hence the butterfly image. And for 'vanish’ I chose 'vanishing point’, which morphed into train tracks and related images. I appropriated (which felt a lot like stealing after all I’ve been taught growing up about plagiarism) all the images. And my son is the songwriter again. It’s my first attempt at video art….it was kinda fun.
