It’s a bittersweet moment...This dugout is where I had the privilege of leading chapel—for players, coaches, and ballpark staff alike—during every home stand Sunday for the Tacoma Rainiers. Sadly, today was their final home game. The Mariners saw a good bit of movement this season, and though we ended with a completely different roster than we started with, I can’t help but feel a sense of brotherhood with many of these guys. I’m in awe of how much God can do within such tiny windows of time spent together and how alive Jesus is in the hearts of so many men from such diverse backgrounds. I’m ALSO amazed at my wonderful wife and all the wives, girlfriends, and families of the players. The sense of community among they fostered is unreal! Selena was so blessed and enjoyed growing to know so many of them so richly in just the last few months of the season. We can’t wait to reconnect with the players, families, and coaches next year as God allows. It’s been an honor serving this team! As always. God has proven himself exceedingly good, faithful, and present throughout it all. How blessed we are. Oh, and finally: GO RAINIERS! ⚾️⚾️⚾️ we will see you next year! #WeRTacoma #thisisRcity #gorainiers #tacomarainiers https://www.instagram.com/p/B1m8ocPg9W1/?igshid=4vljri7ou5rq
