Ladies and Gentlemen: Thomas Jefferson, The Turkey. ❤ I love him so much. I didnt know a turkey could have so much personality, but this guy definitely does! He let us pet him, and lowkey followed us around for much of the time we were there. @pagepardo said she could tell he was thirsty but he wouldnt go inside or get a drink because he wanted to hang out and show off, puffing up his feathers to look cool for us. His weird brain looking head is really smooth and soft, and check out the last 2 pix for evidence of something else i did not know: a turkey can CHANGE COLORS!!! ❤💙❤💙 We disassociate meat from being actual animals-but when you have a turkey sandwich, it comes from slaughtering one of these sweet goofy little guys. When you put a turkey on your thanksgiving table, it's a dead bird; same as if you cut the head and feet off a dog, skin it, and put it in front of your family.
