Reposted from @wellwateredwomen Even when the tasks on your to-do list seem boring and mundane, each moment spent faithfully accomplishing the work set before you matters. Don't waste the time you spend each week doing "boring" work; instead, redeem each task by doing it for the glory of God with intentionality and thoughtfulness. ⁠⁠ ⁠⁠ If you're dreading your to-do list this week, here are a few simple ways to redeem boring tasks: ⁠⁠ ⁠⁠ 1️⃣ Pray as you complete your task. Pray for your family as you fold the laundry. Thank the Lord for his abundance as you wash the dishes. Use the extra brain space you have while completing boring tasks to be intentional about talking with the Lord. ⁠⁠ ⁠⁠ 2️⃣ Meditate on God and his Word as you work. As you're working, remember the God who brought order to chaos. Meditate on his character and consider how it can spur you on toward love and good works. Maybe even use the time to memorize a verse or passage you've been studying. ⁠⁠ ⁠⁠ 3️⃣ Choose gratefulness over grumbling. When you work with a grateful heart rather than a grumbling spirit, you can redeem even the most boring tasks.
