Thistle tea is very odd tasting. I'm no expert but it is very different from my usual teas. It's fairly bitter on its own but when added with a bit of milk, as was directed, it becomes practically tasteless with a hint of bitter. I added a spoonful of honey and now it tastes like American black tea with milk and honey. How weird.
