The thistle paddle Marion Rivers-Moore Lithograph from her 1948 Farmer - Baker book from John Murray. The format is identical to the Puffin Picture Books and I have a hunch that this was originally intended as a Puffin and taken to Murrays when Penguin changed editorial policy to a harder edged illustration style and content.
