Joong Archen and Dunk Natachai in Hidden Agenda (2023) vs. The Heart Killers (2024)
Even though Bison is absolutely being tricked and used by Kant, he’s not blameless in the way his brother is being used either. I’ve seen a lot of hate—not here, Tumblr is less insane, shocking I know—but on Twitter and Reddit for Kant and Style. Which okay, you don’t have to like what they’re doing, but you’re not supposed to! Are we watching the same series here?
The only one that’s supposed to be without any real blame is in fact Fadel (The Shrew/Kat) they are character that is betrayed not only by their own blood, but their friends and lover over and over again. The Shrew is your window into the world, the one you’re supposed to feel for. So yeah, Kant and Style are supposed to be complete self serving assholes for the first half. But so is Bison, he has as much of a horse in this race as the other two do, he’s equally as selfish. Not only is he putting his and Fadel’s safety and livelihood at risk just because of some good dick, he’s also completely breaking Fadel’s trust in a horrible way.
Bison might not know the whole story about his older brother’s past relationship, but he is aware that the man goes to a weekly grief support group. Perhaps he thinks it’s how Fadel deals with their job, carrying the burden of so much blood on his hands. But even if that’s the case and he doesn’t know about Fadel’s ex—which I highly doubt he does—he’s still telling Kant that information to help Style stalk Fadel. You wanna send him to the same gym and clubs, fine! But that right there was such a breach of trust, that I truly think Fadel might knock Bison out for it once he realizes how Style found him.
That is a place of support for grief and loss, for people unable to heal from their emotional and mental wounds. And Bison just sends Style there by giving that information over to Kant, only for Style to make a complete mockery of it. And why did Bison do that? Because he wants a boyfriend! 🥺
I wanna bitch slap all three of them tbh.
The fact that I dislike those three so much means that the series is doing its job, the actors are doing fantastic in their roles. Because you’re not supposed to like them, they’re unlikable characters. Just like they have to earn one another’s trust, they have to also earn ours as the viewers. That’s the whole point of the story, that feelings and ideas of people can and will change. That situations and experiences force change and make people better (or worse) depending on the outcome.
Oh, I already hate the mom
Well yeah, of course, since you've made sure to keep them completely isolated! How convenient!
