#i'm so happy to see zo on this list too#bc i still think about that reveal that zo knew™ the whole time even almost 3 years later#for gte first half of the show i was watching zo's panic like#''awww he's slowly realizing that he's into men''#and then ep6 dropped with that flashback and it just completely changed how i read the entirety of the show and zo's arc up to that point#it was so incredibly well done bc i absolutely didn't see it coming#and it really did change the plot from ''figuring out you're queer'' to ''living with the knowing™''#and yeah i still think about it#the writing in hidden agenda is generally pretty meh#but i WILL defend this with my LIFE

Oh my god. I have literally just realised this. Like I didn't register just how different that makes the viewing of the series. I think I need to rewatch Hidden Agenda, wow thank you for this.

oh yikes those typos 🫣 i mean "the" not "gte" and also it's ep7 (SEVEN!!!!) not ep6!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

anyway yes it completely changes things!!!!! and it was such a mindblowing reveal bc i was watching the show live, right? and so for weeks i was just watching zo all "ah yes sweetie, you're developing gay feelings for anohter man, you're not as straight as you think you are with your crush on nita". and i was enjoying this version a lot, right? i was ENJOYING and giddy over (seemingly) watching zo figure out that he's not straight. and then ep7 dropped. and with ep7 dropped the info about his past gay crush. and i was just sat there, my jaw on the ground, like "ZO KNEW THIS WHOLE TIME???????????? THAT HE WAS QUEER?????????? HE WAS SHYING AWAY FROM IT NOT BC IT WAS NEW TO HIM BUT BECAUSE OF PAST TRAUMA????????"

i keep saying this, hidden agenda was such a meh written show and joongdunk are the sole reason it's watchable at all, but ep7 really rewired my brain. that reveal/plot twist and the yank-kiss-yeet scene really changed my brain chemistry and hidden agenda is worth it just for that alone and i will FIGHT for it
