Thomas Burden
Start to think about the ZINE.....
It is a hard beginning of this critical report, because I cannot remember all details. In this project, we were asked to work with another four students in our class as a group, and we need to chose a topic and invite other experts in illustration to work with us, it is kind of a challenge for us all. Fortunately, I have a group and all of us are courage and can easily understand others’ ideas. We work in-group and have a new experience of illustration.
Group Presentation for SHOP
Last Thursday, we had the first group presentation for our shop project. When prepared for this presentation, we made the 2nd decision to do a structure of Thomas’s work. But we also had some problems of it.
After presentation, Lizzie and Will gave us some useful advices. This time, we start to think the theme of our event. Make a structure is not to bring his work into real life, it is kind of copy. Lizzie also lead us to think about some people copy of use others work without let their owner know.
In presentation, we shared information and also got some useful information from others. After presentation, we went to printing workshop together we relaxed and have fun.

2nd Research of Thomas Burden
Process of Shop Project
In our first group meeting, we decided to make contact with some artists and work with them as a group, we want to talk about what future illustration will be and how we can change our ideas into works.
At first, we chosed 5 artists by each person and made a list of 5 in the end, the first is INSA, a group of street artists who trans illustrations into gif. The second one is Thomas Burden, who use 3d to show his ideas of illustration. And we wrote emails to them, at the same time we prepared the posters for Thursday’s session.
In this part, I will work with my group member Rita to finish a set of posters.
