I saw your post about the hay and it's not an isolated incident... 1775 in Boston a guy called Benjamin Hallowell and Admiral Graves got into a fistfight in the middle of a street because of... Hay. It's pretty wild and you can find several accounts of the incident in the Naval Documents of the American Revolution, Vol. 1. As a bonus, Gage was involved in the whole thing, too, mainly as Hallowell's shoulder to cry on because the Admiral was such a meanie.
