Enter The Meathaus (36 Chambers) is an essay I wrote about Meathaus, James Jean doing Prada, Thomas Herpich doing Cartoon Network, Brandhon Graham talking trash, and what it all means.

Honestly, what frightens me most about Princess Bubblegum is her complete lack of remorse and her pervasive lack of an ability to learn from her mistakes. She's not insane- she's just profoundly insensitive. She doesn't even know that she does horrible things- like abandoning the lemon children, refusing to understand why experimenting on living creatures can cause more suffering than good, et cetera. I just see her as a coldhearted sociopath. -LGP

Admittedly, she still hasn't experienced the full consequences of her actions...

I find it disturbingly funny how ever since Too Young came out, I kept making jokes about how chubby Lemongrab was and how doughy his belly and butt were, then- BAM! Too Old! He's OBESE! Obese Lemongrab was hilarious to me for that reason. I was not expecting that at all, and visually, it just made me laugh really hard. But I also like how fatness isn't portrayed as greed/malice- clearly we wee that many of the lemon people are fat. Lemonhope is very chubby. -LGP

Historically, Henry the 8th's fatness in particular, does reflect his greed and malice. He used to be pretty fit before though and probably sane. Glad it's not the case with the other Lemonpeople. 

I find it interesting how Lemonhope has subtle "lemony" attributes, as well. The scene with the flute surprised me, because he didn't see anything wrong with his flute playing. He thought it was nice. He was unaware of Finn and PB's cringing. He just kept playing, believing himself to be very good at the instrument. I liked how the writers put that in there- yes, he's a "different" kind of lemon person, but he's still a lemon person. I hope we see more of that.

That's the nature of neurological/ psychological differences in people, like those with autism or those with antisocial personality disorder; they believe it's "normal" for them. 

Biggest troll ever- in the background of a totally unrelated episode, we see both Lemongrabs and a few of their children, totally back to normal, and the events of Graybles/Too Old is never mentioned again. Lemonhope becomes a crazed hobo living in the woods, raised by squirrels.

Uh-huh.

So apparently it's just Lemongrab who is an asshole. Lemongrab 2 is/was a very kind guy. And we see that their kids are actually very kind, as well. When they are forced to pummel Finn, they apologize. The lemon kids are all pretty sweet people. Lemon doesn't equal mean. It just means weird. Weird people can be mean OR nice. I like how the writers write the lemon people. They are a small subspecies, but they are wonderfully diverse and very fascinating.

Which is weird since monozygotic twins often grow up liking and doing the same things. They would even dress and have their hair done the same way.

Remember: "Lemon need not squeeze to survive" or "One does not need to control people to maintain semblance of order or normalcy."

What surprised me about Too Old was that the lemon people are all referred to as "brothers" or "boys," but we saw a lot of them wearing women's clothing. This leads me to believe that A) Lemnograb was the one who made them wear dresses, B) they are crossdressers, or C) there are female lemon people but the Lemongrabs don't know that some of their kids turned out to be girls. Either theory is kind of interesting in a way.

Gender roles are played rather loosely in AT. They even disregarded naming. When Flame Princess took the throne, she called herself Flame King and wasn't all too bothered by that.

Too Old should have ended like Joanna/Antony's arc in Sweeney Todd. Princess Bubblegum kidnaps Lemonhope and pulls out a Ballblamburglerbur. She points it at Lemongrab, who has just eaten his brother and is currently stunned that the electric collars no longer work. "I will leave you to the mercy of your... 'children,'" says PB, taking Lemonhope away. After this, the Lemon Children rush up to Lemongrab in a tidal wave, roaring, their fingers extended like claws. THIS is how it should have ende!

Oh and here I thought you were gonna suggest Lemonhope coming up behind Lemongrab 1 and slitting his throat AND stomach. You've gotten soft on me LGP ;)

What is your opinion on the theory that: Lemongrab's mind broke after his son Lemonjon died, and because he had a predisposition to be more sensitive than Lemongrab 2, it was just Lemongrab who completely lost it?

Lemongrab 1 had more history of violence than Lemongrab 2 did (e.g. in Too Young, he was beat up by Finn and PB). So he was learning more on what it takes to rule based on what was done to him. Like Goliad.

Idea for next Lemongrab episode- Lemongrab sets himself on fire and then runs for an ungodly amount of time around the top of Castle Lemongrab before dramatically jumping off the edge as the camera zooms out. Denethor-style death scene. >:)

I tried warm lemonade once. It tasted icky.

Less than one year ago, I went to a comic festival and asked Thomas Herpich to draw me a picture of the Lemongrabs. He drew me a picture of them hugging each other and smiling and cuddling. I framed it and hung it on my wall. Less than a year later, Lemongrab tortured, ate, and killed his brother. I hate Adventure Time. I can't do this any more.

Keep the picture. You will be rewarded for your faith, just as Johnny was rewarded for his faith regarding Fubblegum.

Thomas Herpich just messaged me on Facebook and said that the next Lemongrab episode wouldn't air for about three more months, but he said that I would like it. OH GOD. HE WILL LIE TO ME AGAIN.

You have trust issues. I hope the guy who falls in love with you will understand that.

I ship the Lemongrabs in protest of everything that has just happened. Because it's the most repulsive thing one can do at this point. MWHAHAHAHAHAHA

Actually, the most repulsive things you can ship are PB x Ricardio and Ash x Marceline. 

True creepy story: On November 9th last year, I went to the mall and bought a leather jacket. The next day, I went to the Brooklyn Comics & Graphics Featival wearing that jacket. This is the jacket I wore when I shook Herpich's hand and got drawings from him. I have not washed the jacket ever. I refuse to wash it. It has the essence of Herpich in it. It has powers you can barely fathom. It is sacred.

Doesn't the power stay on the part that touched Herpich, i.e. your hand, rather than the jacket? Still, believing in something gives it power. 

Theory- Lemon-Sweets was an evil doll. Not alive, persei, but harboring some kind of dark magic. When Lemongrab 2 broke the doll, he unleashed a curse. The curse possessed Lemongrab 1. Weirdest, creepiest, most random plot twist ever- Lemon-Sweets being the cause of all of the evil in Castle Lemongrab?
