More rambling just scrambling about in my brain, I think that either, Emelie and Gabriel wanted the PERFECT child or they couldn’t conceive. I am leaning to the latter, if so, since Chloe and Adrien are childhood friends, I can imagine Emelie watching Aubrey go through her pregnancy and that making her want a child more than anything- finally seeing this beautiful blonde baby and not being able to help herself. Extra points if she didn’t even discuss it with Gabriel beforehand. Not entirely sure, just thinking about how Adrien didn’t really have any friends other than Chloe and Felix growing up.
