Desperate
Horacio is the second of 2 reasons I played through that disappointment of a game. The Judge and Horacio are the only reasons I play New Dawn, I play it so I can do photo shoots with them. Anyways, enough hate, here’s some unfinished art of a rare RushxCap ship cause why not. And of course Horacio. I love Horacio. I love wild boars.
i'm so pissed i couldn't take a better quality picture here...... 😭🤌
request hehe
Sooo I finally got some free time this weekend and finished New Dawn for the first time and I honestly had a lot of fun with it. While a lot more could be hoped for story wise, it's not a bad game at all and I wish I would've tried it sooner lol
Some Thoughts/Kinda long post (Spoilers Ahead)
.The color scheme was 10/10. I love how they decided to make it vibrant unlike the usual bleek, eerie, post-apocalyptic setting. Realistic? Idk but it's far cry and I LOVED this twist on the genre. Also the art style of the graffiti in the outposts reminded me of Jinx from Arcane!
.I can imagine Jacob and Faith loving New Eden (especially Jacob cause he's all about nature and practicality. Faith would be alright as long as she has bliss and her angels). But John? I'm having a hard time picturing him there given how expensive his taste is lol. Like in FC5 his clothes, ranch, plane, etc all point to a more lavish lifestyle than the rest of the cult.
. It was awesome seeing some of the original charcters like Nick and Grace come back. Grace was my go-to GFH in 5!
. I loved Thomas Rush and his death shattered me lol. Genuinely a cool guy with a good heart and a badass neck tattoo~
. The highwaymen soundtrack was hype af and I honestly found myself listening to their station more than the survivor radio. Even as someone who doesn't listen to rap all that much I really liked it :)
. Mickey and Lou had a lot of potential as villains, but in my personal opinion the writing/dialogue let them down. The twins and their highwaymen were a great concept, and the voice actresses were lovely also. However, I wish the game would have given them more backstory and motivations than just their dad telling them it was ok to do whatever the they wanted and them being upset when things didn't go their way. I ultimately spared Mickey
.Some super fun mission design like the prison break and arena derby
. It was obvious Ethan was volatile from the start but that's exactly what made that storyline so engaging. Seeing another more emotional side of Joseph was fascinating as well. It was new as he's usually quiet and calculating but given all that happened it was actually quite fitting. I left him to reflect not so peacefully on all the shit he had done after he finally realized it
That's all but I had a blast playing through this one and am so glad I finally gave it a chance. While it has it's flaws, it's still a great gaming experience and it was fun revisiting Hope County once more :)
He's just assembling his weapons 👀
Shirtless version cause why not 🔥
Silly doodle I did a while ago
