what is their love language? (aka how they like to show affection to eachother)

first date headcanon? (i think we know who of those two is going to be extra in a first date)

Here is little doodle as is my custom teehee; the list is their Love Language they display. I feel they're both very caring towards each other in their own ways, but this kinda just leads to both of them leaning heavily into acts of service as their top one. I feel Masaru is more nurturing in that mother duck fashion- I feel his mom was more influential in how he cares and what sends little alarm bells. He does do his best to try and ease Touma's work load... not that it always works. Masaru, like his mom, also tends to gift food and snack. He makes more things, but it took awhile until he admitted he was the one making Touma's snacks because he was just embarassed. (Did not help when Chika called him a housewife). Despite the rough or frank way Masaru speaks, he is very open and honest and comfortable expressing that he likes Touma, thinks highly of him, or thinks he does something well. You'd think he'd be more awkward but he learned from his mother that a real man is still capable of being honest about his feelings, because that's how his dad was. (Masaru is just shit at expressing when he feels bad in any way) He definitely enjoys sitting with Touma and hanging out with him, but he doesn't "need" it as much. He is also physically affectionate, but he's a bit more shy and reserved with the more cuddling acts. Touma's acts of service stems from his more clinical eye; noticing when he's unwell or injured, and checking on him after Digimon Fights or even when Masaru gets into fights with people. He will always patch his injuries, even as he scolds him. Touma also tries to help masaru with his harder work load, and help him study. It can be kinda hard, as Touma is a little too smart for Masaru to even get it. Touma leans into Physical touch quite a bit- the small stuff like holding hands or leaning against each other. It feels good and nice to have someone so warm and comforting beside him who wants him there. Touma is definitely the touchier of the two, but while Masaru can get a little flustered, still not used to it, he's also okay with the little stuff. Adding onto that, he also greatly appreciates just spending time with Masaru- he's definitely the type to really want to allocate and plan time with Masaru- which doesn't mesh well with Masaru's more laid back and casual attitude, but they're working on it! It helps they work together. Touma loves planning dates, but the compromise is he doesn't go too overboard. (Masaru hasn't forgotten the chaos that was Chika's birthday.) Touma is a little awkward with Words of Affirmation- both receiving and giving- and can sometimes put his own foot in his mouth. This being said, I think both of them are equally shy when it comes to more intimate tihngs. While I know some 14 year olds are perfectly fine with it, I feel like these two are just

Also, for their first date, I feel like they would be that duo who kept having interruptions and hijinks and it was stupid, but they ended up just at a little ramen stand and laughed and walked with each other. It was sweet, casual, and relaxing and took them into the late hours and ended with a sleepover where they didn't even make it to Masaru's room and just feel asleep as a miss in his living room. Also they had argued about it because Masaru made Touma rewrite his plans to tone it down because he said we are NOT doing that calm down!!! I think they are very casual boyfriends; easily the kind where many people don't know they're dating because their deeper affections are more private, and they just appear like two close guy friends to da rest of the world- even though they are fairly open abt it. (Touma does NOT want to tell his family tho and masaru respects that bc he wants to PUNCH his family and Touma also does not want that.) Reminder these are my personal headcanons; I would love more asks about them and to be able to discuss them further!!
