Thomas!
So good to see you!
a new friend || chatzy || thomas & kelcey
Thomas: Thomas was sitting by the fountain in the town square and reading a rather large book.Kelcey: Dropping her backpack by her feet as she sat on a bench near the fountain, Kelcey began to pull out her AP English books.
Rebekah: Rebekah was bored out of her mind. Mystic Falls wasn't as exciting as she remembered it to be. So, she elected to take a walk through the town square to keep her busy.
Thomas: Thomas side eyed Kelcey and gave her a small smile, flipping to the next page.
Kelcey: Kelcey looked over at Thomas, smiling back at him, "What are you reading?" Kelcey asked curiously.
Thomas: "Some book I needed to read that came out about a quarter of a century ago," he chuckled. "The Hunger Games. Ever read it?"
Kelcey: Kelcey smiled more, looking at the book cover, "Yes, I have. One of my favorites. How do you like it?"
Thomas: "Good so far," he shrugged. "Are the next two good?"
Kelcey: "Classics," Kelcey stated as she looked down at her AP English book, "You don't smell human," Kelcey smirked, glancing at him.
Thomas: "I don't smell human," he repeated her in an amused tone. "How exactly is a human supposed to smell? I don't know whether to be offended or not."
Rebekah: She spotted a familiar face by the fountain. Realizing it was Thomas, she strutted over, sitting down next to him and crossing her legs. She tapped him on the shoulder, "Hello, Thomas. Nice to finally see you again in person.:
Kelcey: Kelcey was about to respond when she looked up at the woman standing next to Thomas.
Thomas: Thomas looked back over his shoulder at Rebekah and forced a polite smile. "Rebekah. Pleasure."
Rebekah: She could see the displeasure behind his smile. She twirled her hair and shot him a cocky grin. "I know you've missed me. So, who's the girl?"
Kelcey: Kelcey pushed her hand towards the woman named Rebekah, "I'm Kelcey."
Thomas: Thomas looked between the two of them and pressed his lips together.
Rebekah: Rebekah reached for her hand and gave it a firm shake. "Good to meet you," she said with a tone of bitchiness. She wasn't sure that she was keen on mingling with new werewolves.
Kelcey: Kelcey noticed that Thomas and Rebekah smelt very similar, "Earlier, I meant that you just smell different," Kelcey turned her blue eyes on the woman, "Not human."
Thomas: "You have a keen sense of smell," he raised an eyebrow.
Kelcey: Kelcey couldn't tell what they were, but waved it off going back to her reading, feeling like the other two had business with each other.
Kelcey: Kelcey placed her book into her bag, and grabbed her wallet, "I'm going to go get a coffee. Thomas, would you like something?"
Rebekah: "So, Thomas," she began, taking a seat next to him, "What've I missed in good ol' Mystic Falls."
Thomas: He looked up at Kelcey. "No I'm good, thankyou," he smiled and then turned to Rebekah. "Not much that I know about. I've only been here a few months."
Kelcey: Kelcey nodded and drifted towards the coffee stand next to the town square [now I'll brb xD].
Rebekah: "When did it get so dreadfully boring around here?" she groaned, rolling her eyes. "Anything fun with you, then?"
Thomas: "No," he said nervously. "You?"
Kelcey: Kelcey came back and sat down on the bench, pulling her book back out as she began to read it.
Rebekah: "Had a bit of a discrepancy with Klaus. Other than that, no," she said, picking at her nails. She saw him looking anxious, so she smirked and turned completely towards him. "Why so tense? Loosen up a bit, yeah."
Thomas: "Because last time I saw you, you had just turned me into a vampire," he answered her with a shrug.
Rebekah: "I've already turned you. What's the worst I could do now?" She said with a bit of a dark giggle.
Thomas: "Put a stake in my heart. Though I suppose I really wouldn't mind too much."
Kelcey: Kelcey's ears purked up as she heard the word vampire. Her skin began to crawl.
Kelcey: *perked
Rebekah: She was about to respond to Thomas when she noticed Kelcey's sudden change in attitude. "Why so frightened, darling?"
Thomas: Thomas put his book down, just noticing that Kelcey had returned. He frowned.
Kelcey: Kelcey's blue eyes stared dead at the woman in front of her, "You're a vampire... Both of you..."
Rebekah: "Of course. You didn't pick it up with that keen sense of smell of yours?"
Thomas: "Yes, good job," he smiled at her. "I won't hurt you," he said seriously.
Kelcey: "Of course not. I just knew you weren't human," Kelcey's cold stare looked over at Thomas and softened a bit as she smiled, "I trust you. No bad feeling about you."
Rebekah: "You don't trust me?" She said with a fake pout and false disappointment in her voice.
Thomas: "She has good instincts."
Kelcey: "You turned Thomas. Of course I don't trust you."
Rebekah: "Fine, be that way."
Thomas: He rubbed his forehead, not liking the conflict.
Kelcey: A soft growl escaped her throat as she continued reading.
Rebekah: "Well, I'm just as bored as I was before I was talking to you people, so I'm gonna spare myself of this misery." She got up and left, making her way about the town.
Rebekah: (sorry i have to leave guys)
Thomas: (aw okie)
Thomas: Thomas watched after her and shook his head, clearly agitated.
Kelcey: Kelcey watched the woman walk away, a chill running down her spine, "I won't tell anyone your secret."
Thomas: "It's not exactly a secret," he half heartedly chuckled, shrugging and closing his eyes, looking very sad for a moment.
Kelcey: "It's not? Why would you want people to know?" Kelcey frowned and tilted her head slightly.
Thomas: "I don't care one way or the other."
Kelcey: "Do you know drink human blood?"
Thomas: "Blood bags," he nodded.
Kelcey: Kelcey nodded back, flipping through her book, not looking towards him, "I'm a werewolf. Well... An un-triggered one..."
Thomas: He smiled. "That explains the excellent sense of smell."
Kelcey: A laugh came from her lips as she nodded, "Yeah.. Not such a great thing all the time."
Thomas: "Oh, I know," he said and looked in the direction Rebekah had gone with a slight frown.
Kelcey: "Who is she, exactly, Thomas?"
Thomas: "She's an Original. You know, I don't hate anyone, but she's almost an exception."
Kelcey: Kelcey wasn't quite sure what an Original was, so she shrugged, "How could you hate your creator?
Thomas: "I was alive before she turned me, you know. And my brother was a good man before she turned him," he smiled grimly.
Kelcey: "Oh..." Kelcey moved over and slightly wrapped an arm around him, "I'm really sorry Thomas...."
Thomas: Thomas tensed at first, surprised, and then relaxed. "It's all fine," he shrugged.
Kelcey: Pulling back quickly, Kelcey huffed out a laugh, "Sorry... tend to be to loveable sometimes."
Thomas: "That's fine, I don't oppose that," he chuckled.
Kelcey: Pulling back her hair, Kelcey sighed and flipped through her English book, "So tell me about yourself."
Thomas: "I'm 127 years old and I moved here from London looking for my older brother, Garrett. I have a great love for literature and squirrels."
Kelcey: Kelcey almost dropped her book as she looked over at Thomas, "Squirrels. How completely random," Kelcey began to laugh, "That's wonderful!"
Thomas: He grinned. "Yes, well..."
Kelcey: "I'm not trying to make fun of you Thoms... it was just interesting to me."
Thomas: "I know," he shrugged. "I'm a bit eccentric either way."
Kelcey: "That's not too horrible," Kelcey smiled at him, "Keeps things interesting."
Thomas: "Maybe."
Kelcey: Kelcey cleared her throat as she played with her ponytail, "So, do you have a significant lover?"
Thomas: His eyebrows shot up sky high and he blushed. "I uh, I...no?"he said as if he was unsure.
Kelcey: "Don't vampires have mates?" Kelcey raised an eyebrow back at him.
Thomas: "No. That's Twilight crap," he shook his head with a nervous chuckle. "I mean, we can, but it's just like with humans."
Kelcey: "Oh. I see," Kelcey laughed a little, "I'm not sure how it is with werewolves. I don't see my parents very much. I'd like to think we are like real wolves, in that sense." Thomas: He bit his bottom lip. "Do werewolves always end up with werewolves, then?"
Kelcey: Kelcey shrugged a bit, "I'm not sure. I know the Mrs. Redford is a human, married and mated to a werewolf. So I guess we could end up with others," Kelcey smirked at Thomas, "though I'm not sure Vampires and Werewolves have ever been together."
Thomas: "Caroline, the mayor. Her husband is a hybrid, so....there's hope," he said and then blushed. "Not that this has anything to do with me."
Kelcey: Kelcey's eyebrow raised as she looked over at Thomas with a tilted head, "Are you insinuating something, Thomas, dear?"
Thomas: He blushed more and his eyes widened. "No, no, I wasn't talking about...no."
Kelcey: She giggled lightly, bumping against his shoulder, "Mhm. Sure you weren't." Swinging her legs back and forth, Kelcey looked away to the people walking around, "So what do vampires do for fun?"
Thomas: He rolled his eyes a bit. "Well, most like drinking blood for fun. I like reading and observing people."
Kelcey: Kelcey smiled and turned, pulling her legs up onto the bench, "And what have you observed about me?"
Thomas: "You're smart. You're not afraid of people, even vampires, apparently. You say what's on your mind for the most part. You are a hard worker when it comes to schoolwork- studying, writing essays. You like people. You want to give everyone a chance."
Kelcey: Kelcey smiled and giggled, "You are very good. I suspect that's because you are pretty old and have had lots of time to learn people."
Thomas: "Yes. Works in with being a lawyer, though I think it's about time for me to retire. I've worn the job out."
Kelcey: "You're a lawyer?" Kelcey blinked at the man, "Wow. That's amazing! I could never do something like that."
Thomas: He gave her an amused look. "It's not that hard nowadays."
Kelcey: "But.. How could you know if someone is a good person or not?" Kelcey looked down at her folded hands, "What if they were bad, but were good at lying..?"
Thomas: "That's not my job, that's the judge's. I'm on whoever's side pays me," he chuckled.
Kelcey: "So you could be defending a bad person?"
Thomas: "Yes. It's happened a few time before, actually."
Kelcey: "But.. Why would you want to do that?"
Thomas: "It's part of the job, unfortunately. It was never anything really bad...mostly to do with money," he shrugged.
Kelcey: Kelcey looked away, her eyes looking at something that wasn't there. Her teeth gently dug into her lip as she stared at nothing.
Thomas: "Are you alright, dear?" he frowned.
Kelcey: Shaking her head to snap out of her thoughts, she turned and smiled at Thomas, "I'm fine. Thank you Thomas."
Thomas: "You're welcome," he said slowly, tilting his head to the side.
Kelcey: "Do you want to go get something to eat?" Kelcey blinked and lightly smacked her forhead, "I'm sorry... You act so human, I forgot you don't eat.. food."
Thomas: He chuckled. "No, I can still eat food. I like it," he shrugged.
Kelcey: "Well..." Kelcey turned her blue eyes on him, "did you want to go get some food.. With me?"
Thomas: "Um," he hesitated. "Sure," he said with a nod.
Kelcey: Grabbing her backpack, Kelcey stood and began to walk towards the grill.
Thomas: He got his book and followed her.
Kelcey: With Thomas following, Kelcey walked into the grill and sat down at a booth, placing her backpack against the wall.
Thomas: Thomas sat down across from her with a smile.
Kelcey: Smiling at Thomas, Kelcey ordered a basket of fries and a glass of water, looking towards thomas
Thomas: He got some fries and lemonade for himself.
Kelcey: "So.. Why were you asking about werewolves and their mates before?"
Thomas: "Oh....just curious," he lied.
Kelcey: Kelcey smirked a bit, "Are you sure..?
Thomas: "Yes."
Kelcey: Kelcey thanked the waitress as she walked away. Slowly, she sipped on her straw, watching the curious man through curious eyes. Something about him pulled her in.
Thomas: Thomas ate a french fry and gave her a kind smile.
Kelcey: Kelcey ate a french fry as well, "You sir are very curious," she grinned at him.
Thomas: "How so?" he asked.
Kelcey: "You are the first vampire I've met who is kind. Who isn't totally blood thirsty," Kelcey lightly placed her hand on Thomas', "Plus, you can deal with a werewolf."
Thomas: "Yes, well. I'm an oddity," he said with a shrug, "no big deal."
Kelcey: "But that is a good thing. Being odd is nothing to be ashamed over."
Thomas: "I'm not ashamed. I'm just not going to say I'm better than anyone else because of it."
Kelcey: "Well, that is good," Kelcey looked down, feeling bad for mentioning it.
Thomas: "Hey, it's alright," he chuckled.
Kelcey: Kelcey nodded, smiling slightly. She continued to eat her fries as she began to write her essay. "You don't mind if I do a little bit of homework while we sit here, right?
Thomas: "I don't mind at all. You need help?" he grinned.
Kelcey: Kelcey looked up with a smile, "Not right now. Maybe once I'm done, you can go over it."
Thomas: "I was kidding, but if you want me to, I can," he smiled back.
Kelcey: Kelcey smiled sweetly at him, before looking back down, "You're helpful too. I like that."
Thomas: "I like to help."
Kelcey: "That's a great thing in a man."
Thomas: "In anyone," he corrected her and then cleared his throat. "I'm not saying I'm great."
Kelcey: Kelcey continued to look down at her paper, "I think you are..." she mumbled under her breath before looking up and smiling, "You're right. A great treat to have in anyone."
Thomas: He heard her and scratched the back of his head. "No, I'm not great, trust me," he smiled.
Kelcey: Kelcey looked up as her head was still angled down, "You weren't supposed to hear that Thomas..." a blush came to her cheeks as she looked back down.
Thomas: "I'm a vampire," he raised an eyebrow at her, "my hearing is good."
Kelcey: Kelcey dropped her head on the table. 'Stupid...' she thought to and about herself. Lifting her head up, she smiled at Thomas a bit, "You still weren't supposed to hear that...."
Thomas: He smiled in amusement. "It's alright."
Kelcey: "If you say so... I just made a fool of myself," she laughed, still blushing, "I'm sitting here like a babbling school girl with a crush..."
Thomas: He took a moment to process. "Oh, um, well.."
Kelcey: As she realized what she said, she groaned, "Please ignore me... I'm quite new at the whole... Interacting with.. well.. you know.."
Thomas: "With vampires?"he asked. "Do I make you nervous?"
Kelcey: "No, no... Not vampires. Though, I haven't interacted with many vampires either." Her ears started to get hot as she fiddled with her pencil, "I was talking about... men..." she peeked up at him before looking back down.
Thomas: "Oh, well, no need to be nervous around me- there's much better men out there for that," he smiled.
Kelcey: Kelcey rolled her eyes, "You give yourself too little credit."
Thomas: "I wouldn't say that. I know myself better than anyone else does, after all."
Kelcey: "That may be true. But some can see you in a different light than you see yourself.
