The UST College of Nursing is currently celebrating their nursing week this week and since I stopped attending school for a year, I wouldn't be able to share anything from this year's celebration so I'm just going to share about the things that my friends and I did on our first ever college week!
Our little impromtu field trip around the city happened between April 6th-10th (week before Zer and I broke up haha) and it all began when my friends and I were talking about how much we wanted to see all these kinds of taken for granted sceneries all over the metro but can't because of our hectic schedule. There's the ever-famous walled city of Intramuros (which we did visit, posting about that soon), the Rizal Park and of course all the museums that are just near the vicinity. And speaking of museums, of course the first one that we crossed out of our list (and the only one that actually got crossed out other than the UST Museum) when we had the chance, was the National Museum of the Philippines.
Visiting NM, I gotta say, is a really good form of exercise since it got you two large buildings to walk around in and it's really cheap (P50/each). It's not crowded like some museums are, and also showcases a lot (and I do mean A LOT) of paintings and relics and all that things from the past. Plus the building was once the Legislative Building so being in the hallway alone already takes you back in time. Yah, I have a weird thing for Old Manila.
My breath was literally taken away by Juan Luna's Spoliarium as this 4mx7m work of art was the first to greet us. It was soooooo amazing.
Part 1: National Art Gallery
Also, I think Ara Mina was there that time and we kind of ran around looking for her especially Ryan who was insisting to check her out because she was a sexy star hahaha
Me hipster posing for my IG hahahaa [shame]
Of course, we also took notice of the building's neoclassical architechture and oh my god. Def one of the most beautiful buildings in Manila ever.
Part 2: National Museum of Anthropology (not really sure where this set of plants is from haha)
We took an awlful lot of pictures (obv not posting all of them here) and definitely had fun wandering for almost 5 hours. By the end of the day, we found ourselves really exhausted especially we also did the same thing the day before at Intramuros. After going to the museum, we just went to the closest mall we thought of which was RobManila and pigged out. It was one hell of an artsy week for all of us haha
