Do you have any headcanons about Gendry and Nymeria's relationship? In most fics I have read where they interact they are already bonded or it's set in the modern au. I always thought that the direwolves would bond almost as deeply with their person's mate, but they couldn't share any magical abilities. So Nymeria would answer to Gendry's commands and become quite protective of him.
I completely agree with this. Since Nymeria is bonded so deeply with Arya they basically share the same soul, if Arya loves Gendry then so does Nymeria. She’d be fiercely protective of him and listen to him.
Another - Theon and an older Shireen. If two characters can relate to each other, these two can.

What about Arya Stark, the Winter Storm. Or Arya Stark, the Fury of Winter (Or Winter’s Fury).
Can you imagine Arya as Queen of the 6k? (Gendry is king of course) The thing she could have done? How beloved they would have been?
Maisie was once asked in an interview what Arya would do if she was queen of the realm and she replied “Well the first thing Arya would do is destroy societal gender norms and let little girls do boy things and little boys do girl things”, and it was in this moment I realized, Arya could never be queen because she’s Too Powerful. She’d change the world in ways that the men in charge would NEVER allow, and also in ways I think even D&D and GRRM couldn’t handle. They’d try to assassinate her almost immediately (and fail ofc because she’s the world’s best assassin).
