I am v v busy MOURNING multiple faves that did not make it to the next round but let me also introduce my arguments for the next round:

1. Lyanna & Jaime- first of all they’re so PRETTY second of all they’re so BULLHEADED and you can’t tell me that’s not a hecking winning combination

2. Rickon & Shireen - salty AF teens who are rebellious and rule-following and maybe he persuades her to get into mischief with a shit-eating grin and she surprises him with her deviousness because no one ever looks at her but he’s the first one who really Sees her and omg I’m really into this

3. Ned & Cersei - I honestly feel like they make their own argument just by EXISTING

4. Arya & Tommen- listen, okay, I was not into this until this madness commenced but now I am v into it because she is all sharp corners and a soft underbelly and Tommen is a soft-hearted sweetheart who loves kittens and just fucking lie to me and tell me that’s not PERFECTION

“Lannister. Please.” Lyanna honestly felt seconds from getting on her knees to beg at this point. “Can we focus for, like, five minutes so we can move on from this experience and never have to think about it again?” 

Jaime stepped closer, script in hand, and ran a hand through his hair. Lyanna wondered how he kept it from getting tangled. Did he use product? She shook the thought from her head, grasping the script tighter instead. 

“I am focusing. You just aren’t taking direction.” 

Lyanna gritted her teeth. “Maybe that’s because you aren’t directing me. We’re doing a small scene together. Equal power. Now, I have to be a part of the mid-afternoon joust in a half hour so if we could...” she trailed off as she circled her fingers, begging for Jaime to be easy just this once. 

Jaime’s script came back down by his side. Lyanna sighed and brought a hand up to the bridge of her nose to squeeze away the tension. So much for them getting through this. 

“Why are you so insistent that I could never have a good idea?” he asked. “I’ve been here longer than you, Lyanna.” 

Lyanna hated when he said her name, the way he rolled it over his tongue like it was slow and savored. His lips twitched too as if he was waiting for just the right moment to flick on his smirk and let her know he was better than everyone else, better than her. 

“Because unfortunately I have been aware of your presence since we were children, and in all those forced Christmas parties and family birthdays you have never once come up with a good idea,” Lyanna replied, slapping on her biggest fuck you of a smile. “Or been civil, for that matter.” 

“I’m the definition of civil,” Jaime replied, apparently not bothering to get offended by any of the rest of it. He rolled his eyes and pushed that blonde hair behind his ears. “It’s all you Starks who were never forced to learn a thing of civility. Thrown into the woods the second you’re able to walk.” 

Her brows scrunched together. “You know we’re not actually werewolves, right? It’s important to me that you know that.” 

Jaime shrugged, throwing his hands to the side. “Do I? Do I know that?” 

“This,” Lyanna said, twisting her script in his direction, “is infuriating. You’re infuriating. I’m just going to tell Arthur we can’t do a scene together and to put someone else on it. I’m not the lady type anyways.”

“Okay,” Jaime said, his lips twisting up one edge. “If this is too hard for you, then I’m sure I can—”

“Oh no,” she said, her body practically vibrating with anger at this point, “don’t you do that. I didn’t say anything about hard—”

“So you’re just scared you’re going to fall in love with me then, is that it?” Jaime asked. “It’s called acting and don’t worry you’re not my type.” 

“Fuck you.” She flipped him off, throwing the script at him right after. Kicking off her Birkenstocks, she slipped back into her work boots as she took a deep breath. She smoothed over the front of her dress and regained her composure. When she turned around to him, she kept her face as neutral as she could manage. “We’ll practice after close, okay? And I don’t want to hear any excuse about you having better things to do or... I don’t fucking know, but you wasted my break so that’s what we’re going to do. Got it?” 

The bastard looked pleased, almost satisfied with the answer. As if he’d won. Lyanna hated him with every inch of her body.
