on the 5th day, god made root beer that tasted normal, but actually had alcohol in it

well that sounds like a pain in the ass. It's a disk? I would try unistalling, reinstalling it -- that whole deal. If it doesn't work it might be an issue with the disk itself which would suck. Maybe EA would give you a digital copy free?

Yeah I was thinking about trying that. My only concern is whether or not the installation code will still work. I’ll probably try it because at this point I don’t know what else to do. If for whatever reason I can’t reinstall I’ll email EA and see if I could get a free digital copy, and if not I’ll just buy one (because I don’t even care about money at this point I just want to play my game)

Yeah I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled Origin twice and it still won’t launch it. I’ve also found possible solutions where it says to move the game from it’s current folder to a temporary one, re-download sims in Origin, and then move the files back to their original folder. But those didn’t work either. I’m about to just uninstall the game and try to reinstall it, if I can’t then I guess I buy a digital copy (which I don’t want to do but it’s not looking like I have a choice)
