he’s spending his afternoon tailing someone. no need for the theatrics--or lack thereof--of lurking in the shadows, a gun slung over his shoulder. he has a coffee cup in one hand, watches the man across the street in a lunch meeting, looking as idle as anything, until a shadow falls over his vision. his eyes flicker upwards. 

         “uh--can i help you?”

Calloused hands gripped tight to his newly-confiscated shield. Its weight was light, sturdy, yet he felt that perhaps suspicions would arise once the BODY was found along the forests’ edge. Mercenary work in the midst of an Alliance campaign...                              ridiculous.

He had more important things to do, like earn a few bags of silver for slaying a few Nightbane Worgen that infested the area. Easy pay, and perfect exercise.

Ears heard footfalls SNAP twigs just steps behind him along the path, his sword arm readied along hilt until head turned to see her.

              “Got business needin’ tending                  to in Duskwood, so if ya want                    directions to Stormwind, just follow                     the signs.”

FLEDGELING;

young as she was, the creature’s senses were still enhanced enough to be able to pick up on the scent of blood from perhaps a few hundred metres away - give it time, and it would soon become miles. the potent smell caught her attention almost immediately, causing a stop to all of her forward movements; CONTROL was not something she had quite mastered just yet.

slipping into the shadows, the blonde kept her head down as she moved in search of the bloodbath that she could sense close by. a SNARL twisted her features upward, even her crimson eyes smiling at the thought of a fresh meal. what HE had been feeding her - while it would fulfil her needs - was N O T H I N G compared to that of the blood that she could procure herself. only once had she let herself slip - the night she had become this. family and friends flashed before her eyes, causing the vampire to pause against the wall as she fought back the memories that would haunt her forever. shutting off all feeling was far easier than DEALING with the atrocities that she had committed, though HE still assured her that was merely her n a t u r e. a killer was what she was, who she was... and that was who she would continue to be.

forcing in a breath - something her body still did out of HABIT - she lifted her gaze once more and entered the building beside her, sure that she would find the feeding source soon enough.
