My favorite book on the children’s holds list this morning? It was Those Darn Squirrels by Adam Rubin and Daniel Salmieri.

You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, and you’ll shake your fist at those VERY smart squirrels!!!

Youthful Thursday

I mean, honestly, the question posed in this amazingly cute picture book is the big question. How do you get and keep the birds and wild animals that you want to see, but, not those (like squirrels or rascally rabbits or opossums.) that you don’t?

Now, I will say that I’ve never seen a squirrel use pulleys (or being cooperative) when trying to get to a bird feeder, but, the exaggeration here is used to great effect. And while I probably wasn’t supposed to, I feel for Old Man Fookwire a little bit. Birds that are native to each part of the US’s area are pretty awesome, while squirrels can be quite the nuisances.
