Over the years, Pokemon trainers had travelled from region to region. Whether they sought to use their partners in combat, or simply study the varied species, one important point came up -- what happened to Pokemon whose trainers no longer could care for them? Releasing them in the wild was risky to the Pokemon; usually they were far from home and couldn't adapt. And the survivors disrupted the local ecology. So Pokemon Shelters were formed; abandoned Pokemon were cared for here until a new trainer was willing to take responsibility for them.
Now, Tony approached the Lumiose City's Shelter. He was more of a casual trainer, as much of his time was spent learning the family business from his Poppa. Needles, Tony's Sewaddle, was a good friend and helper... but Tony was looking for more.

“Okay, okay, cool it. Geez.” Owen held up one hand, brow furrowing slightly as he tried to diffuse the already tense situation. He should have known better than to get even remotely judgey with the other. “I’m just trying to give you some advice. There’s a big chance things might go downhill, I’m just saying. Alright?”

“Well well... if it isn’t the lame joke....” There’s a flick of hair over her shoulder and Lisa is rolling her eyes at the sight of Trickster Jr.’s little get up. She’s seen him on the news, some new breakout from Iron Heights, and first place she runs into him is the Rogue’s bar.
Saints & Sinners caters to all kinds, and she’s there often enough to be a regular.
“Shouldn’t you be hiding like a jack-in-the-box, kid?”
