Memories

Sometimes I think about how @taylorswift songs evoke such visceral memories from when you first listen and how you can still have the same emotions whenever you listen to them again. Here are some of mine:

Change: studying for finals my first year of college, feeling determined 🏆 Picture to Burn: the pool at Gma’s house, feeling vengeful🔥 Dear John: singing my heart out while driving down country lanes, feeling like the best damn singer around 🎤 Last Kiss: daydreaming about playing it myself, feeling unrequited love 😻 State of Grace: flying through intersections on city busses after moving to the other side of the world, feeling limitless 🚎 I Knew You Were Trouble: convincing a DJ to play for my best friend’s birthday, feeling forever young 👯 White Horse: Crying in my bedroom after my first heartbreak, feeling used 😿 All Too Well: Listening on the subway after he broke my heart again, feeling angry and sad 😩 Shake It Off: dancing in a club in Siem Reap, feeling myself 💃 Wildest Dreams: leaving him behind on the pier, feeling like I’ve left a piece of me behind ⛴  This Love: gong back to him, and never regretting it, feeling complete 💑 Fearless: driving to the 1989 tour alone because no one wanted to come, feeling like I’m heading home 💁 🖤🎶🏡✨
