How honest?
I started writing a thought on how one should wait a bit before speaking, because a more accurate, honest answer can be given that way. That waiting allows us to cover over the unsightly, unacceptable pieces of our answer, but they also allow us to correct coarseness that would not be there if we polished off excess verbal baggage. Then I deleted it, because I write off the cuff. I wish I didn’t. To be honest I’m distracting myself again. I wish I was better than this.
