Ummmm. Okay, here we go!

I have really super-short hair and I like it that way.

I will wear mascara even when I don’t wear anything else.

I have two Master’s degrees.

I’m married-ish and it’s complicated as hell.

I am severely allergic to the artificial cinnamon flavoring that comes in some kinds of chewing gum. This is on my mind right now because I got ahold of some by mistake and it’s like a chemical burn and the entire inside of my mouth is peeling. By next week, my tastebuds will have fallen off. It takes about another week for them to grow back, and in the meantime I can’t taste anything and eating is really painful. Ugh.

I grew up in a log cabin. We added on a new room every year for a while, so I helped more as I grew older and I learned a lot about carpentry and other stuffs that have been NO USE AT ALL in graduate school. The muscles still come in handy.

I once escaped an abduction attempt in a foreign country by sprinting across six lanes of traffic, leaping first a ditch and then a retaining wall and flying up a flight of stairs into a shopping mall. Just as I reached the top of the steps, someone caught up to me and tapped me on the shoulder from behind. I screamed and nearly jumped out of my skin, but it turns out that somewhere in my mad dash - probably as I jumped the wall just below the overpass - a small bottle of lotion had fallen out of my purse, and this guy had followed the last my spring to return it to me.

I taught high school for a year between my Master’s programs and I really hated it.

I find Darth Vader immensely reassuring.

I have a thing for soundtrack music. I just love it.
