Ok so I'm not capable of sleeping atm so take this categorization. My thoughts are very surface level at times but lemme explain;
Yu: strikes me as a vampire that wouldn't drink human blood. Pure animal blood. I'm hesitant to say human blood makes him squeamish[not really the word I'm looking for..] just like. Uncomfortable?
Yukiko: one, it came to me in a dream. Two, the red might be a heavy influence. In contrast with Yu, I think she'd be fine? With human blood as long as she doesn't like, see the person or atleast knows that they're not dead yknow? Ethical blood consumption!
Rise: can't put my finger on it but she makes me think vampire. I think she prefers animal blood but doesn't mind ethical human blood. Thinks of biting and drinking someones blood in a romanticized lense?
Naoki: I'll be honest this is pure vibes. I think he woulda been fine w/ blood until his sister died, in which I think even animal blood might gross him out for awhile.
Youske: I've been sold on dog boy yosuke propaganda. Real lanky for a werewolf methinks. Transformed, I think hed try to make himself look bigger by standing tall, and puffing himself up, but put him around his friends and he relaxes into a comfortable slouch. I think he was turned while in the city, and part of why he moved to Inaba is to get this new werewolf out of cramped city life yknow?
Chie: what is a dragon if not a wolf [said no one but me ever.] No but she gives me the vibe of those always excited dogs that fuckin zoom around everywhere. She's prolly got a stockier build, and is abt the same height as yosuke when he slouches. She stands up straight, not to appear bigger but because that genuinely is just her most comfortable stance. Shes a born werewolf, has adorable puppy photos. Was a menace as a kid.
Kanji: on one hand, I think he'd make a fun vampire. On the other hand, he's a werewolf because he needs a tail that can wag when he's happy. He doesn't need to stand up straight to be huge, he slouches everywhere. Inspired slightly by one post I saw where they made kanji a hyena, so I lowkey think hed have hyena features. He's also a born werewolf but he still has a hard time controlling it. I like to think that he always has his canines[?] Out and has been mistaken for a vampire atleast once by someone.
Naoto: THIS ONE. also came to me in a dream, alongside YukiNao propaganda o>. Probably inspired by police dogs tbh. Also a turned werewolf, and doesn't really like it. Acts like they have really good control of their werewolf form but probably has the worst. They're pretty small for a werewolf due to their human height, but more willing to embrace it when transformed[they are very stealthy methinks.] Very viscous biter...
Tedie: as seen I'm the picture above I think he can be both. If he keeps his status as a shadow, then I think he would just act like both depending on whether or not he's wearing the suit. When he wears it, he calls himself a werebear, and w/o the suit, he calls himself a vampire [BUT. he doesn't drink blood. He tried some of Yu's supply and didn't like it so he just drinks fruit juice. [He is adamant abt not trying any human blood.]]
