I can't believe that we live in 2026..

My mind is stuck in 1899, and it's not even... The real 1899, it's still a fictional world..

But I can't deny that I feel so weird soo far away from them..

And I know I romanticize those time period probably way too much..

The CR, for all its (many many) faults, seems to have largely eliminated gendered expectations for humans. But it’s done this partly by offloading the most toxic elements onto SecUnits and ComfortUnits. While neither has an actual gender, SecUnits are pushed masculine and ComfortUnits are pushed feminine.

SecUnits are “men as the expendable gender”. Powerful, chivalrous fighters who can always be relied on to stay behind and die so the more vulnerable people can escape. They kill your enemies and are easy to despise for the violence required of them.

ComfortUnits are “women as helpmeets”. Gentle, decorative companions who can always be relied on to offer sex, comfort or assistance. They do whatever unglamourous tasks help you reach your goal and are easy to despise for the passivity required of them.

i feel like i'm going through character development arc right now.

no matter what it takes, i will become myself.

feel like i found a place where i belong. aand it's the community i mentioned in one of previous posts. but still not sure if my mind tricks me and lulls my vigilance before another social burnout or if i really feel much better there. anyway, i realized i can communicate to people almost without wearing a mask of a typical "nice person", but being true self. and now i'm getting closer and closer to become better version of myself, the one i've always wanted to be.
