When time decides. . .
“Men talk about killing time, while time quietly kills them.” –Dion Baucicault
We all come to life to discover, to learn and most commonly, to succeed. But what we often fail to realize as we pursue the cares of the world is how rewarding the decision of pursuing that certain goal will be. As humans, we do fall short of reacting “thought first, then actions after”. Oftentimes this “rule” is chucked as passé simply because the average “us” wants to "Carpe Diem" at every jamboree be the life of the party and YOLO away. Sure thing, all of this may be done without a care of the future, but has anyone ever thought of the time passed and wasted that will NEVER be retrieved? Lost time is never found again. Think about it…the distractions in life will always avail themselves to be indulged in and enjoyed. But those opportunities that lead to success only come few and far between. Maybe twice, but three times is a strike and guess who is out? Yes, you might uncover that route again; enjoy the perks of it, but you will never come to discover what “should have, would have, could have been” had you considered time. Don’t sit and watch the ticking bomb, get going with the seconds. A day is a period of twenty-four hours that are mostly misspent. They say that one should know how to live the time given to them. Time lost is a life wasted. We might never predict the appropriate timing for the apocalypse. Indeed it is a prophetic disclosure. But what will you have accomplished when time decides the end?
“How you spend your time is more important than how you spend your money. Money mistakes can be corrected but time is gone forever.” –David Norris
