the losers club thought they defeated it in 1958. or close enough, anyway. it was gone ; derry was safe. in castle rock, 1959, a boy goes missing - ray brower. not a castle rock native, but close enough to raise suspicion, to raise concern. it soon becomes evident, however, that ray brower’s disappearance is linked in some way to it, & now a new group of children have to face it . . . or die trying.
