Quality affordable housing can be hard to come by in Los Angeles. According to a recent study by the Joint Center for Housing Studies of Harvard University, Angelenos are the least likely urban dwellers in the nation to become homeowners. 52% of Angelenos live in rental properties, more than any other metropolitan area. A median-income household in Los Angeles County can afford only 24% of the homes currently for sale. Compare this with the Chicago metro area, where 73% of homes currently for sale are “within reach” of the middle class. Let's create more opportunity and options for affordable housing and home ownership. We can do both these things by approving legislation that allows Los Angeles residents to live in tiny houses on wheels. Tiny houses offer an innovative, cost effective and eco-friendly solution to this big problem. With this legislation many more Angelenos will have a chance at home ownership than ever before.
Please sign and share this petition in an attempt to make tiny house legal in Los Angeles.
