when he woke up that morning, he couldn't shake the feeling that something strange was going to happen and he couldn't understand why. it had settled in his chest the minute he opened his eyes, stealing whatever of the little peace that he had to begin his day with, making him feel on edge. perhaps it was the fact that he'd been drinking the night before or the fact that he was scheduled to meet up with a potential client sometime around noon, but neither of those made sense to him. he's drank heavily plenty of times before and the worst is that he'd woken up with a terrible hangover- which wasn't the case today. as for the as for the second reason, it made a little more sense, but not really. it was a standard out-call. He was going to consult with his client about their tattoo and then proceed to give them their tattoo if they came to agreement. simple right?
however, the minute he stepped into the nearly empty restaurant, something screamed wrong at him. walking closer to the only person in the vicinity save the staff, he couldn't help the familiarity he felt, he paused. 'it couldn't be-' he thought to himself trying to brush off the rising memories. the mural, his bright smile, the trouble that he had gotten into for it. he shakes his head in order to rid himself of the idea before sitting himself across from the stranger, ordering himself a coffee when a waitress stops by. he leans back and clicks his tongue, resting his arm on the back of his chair. "so, you're kai?"
