Some wips that are almost complete.

Heavy gunner from nemesis claw can’t wait to use him in a game.

The bladeguard ancient has been one of my fav models since I started painting almost a year ago. Couldn’t wait any longer to paint him lol.

This rhino is my first vehicle I’ve painted so far (other than bikes). Decided to experiment with a makeup sponge to save time and I am rly impressed w the results

Thramas Crusade

The Thramas Crusade, also known as the Thramas Campaign, was an extensive military campaign conducted by the traitorous Night Lords Legion among the worlds of the Eastern Fringe of the galaxy during the opening years of the Horus Heresy. Following the Traitor victory at the Drop Site Massacre, the Warmaster Horus Lupercal despatched the homicidal Primarch Konrad Curze and his Night Lords on a campaign of genocide against the Imperial strongholds of Heroldar and Thramas in the Aegis Sub-sector of the Thramas Sector in the Eastern Fringe. The campaign was intended to protect Horus' flank and supply lines as he prepared for his main drive on Terra from Isstvan V and delay the Dark Angels Legion from reinforcing the Loyalist defence of the Throneworld by forcing them to engage the Night Lords to halt their savage march of slaughter and destruction.

12 Cenobites spanking 50 Justaerin is unlikely at best, even if the Cenobites take the free thunder hammers and buy the nastiest combinations of Hekatonystika and Hexgrammaton, and the Justaerin keep their not-Instant-Death-causing power axes instead of upgrading to power fists and combi-meltas. Never mind the dozens of other dead SoH

For the longest time, I just assumed the Cenobites had 2 Wounds like Justaerin, Firedrakes and Red Butchers, but no. Even the Sekhmet terminators of the Thousand Sons get 2 Wounds (and this on top of their psychic abilities), so it really boggles my mind why FW didn’t just go balls deep and slap a higher cost on them, make them buy the hammers, and give them 2 Wounds (or maybe Toughness 5) to compensate and to really hammer home how unbelievably tough the Cenobites apparently are.

Ah yes, the Night Lords - the Legion who, before their degradation picked up speed, was amongst the most harsh to those who didn’t fit in with the growing Imperium of man. Why, their Index Astartes article even mentioned how rebellious systems would surrender the moment they understood that the Eight Legion were coming for them, and put to death all psykers, abhumans, mutants and renegades.

Here’s what FW’s 9th HH book has to say about their conduct in the years and decades leading up to the Heresy:

“Rather than allow the Night Haunter's unpredictable madness to draw the Legion into disaster, the veterans of the old Legion sought to make use of the Midnight Treaties. These hidden texts were bargains struck by Curze during the Great Crusade with certain factions along the fringes of human space, factions that did not fit within the tidy bounds of the Emperor's future, but that could still offer the Night Lords power: abhuman breeds that skirted the boundaries of humanity, reavers and madmen that preyed upon their fellows and Forge Worlds whose doctrines were unacceptable to Mars. All these and more had been concealed by the Night Haunter in return for their loyalty, unnoticed along the dark edges of the maps created by the Great Crusade. Small scout craft, crewed by the most loyal and captained by the most trusted of the Legion, were sent forth to distant and hidden stars. Many of these ships were lost, some crippled by the swelling warp storms that scoured the area, others intercepted and destroyed by the fast cutters of the Dark Angels or Thramassi cruisers, but some few would reach their destinations and issue the Night Lords' summons. “

It wasn’t enough for you to turn the Alpha Legion manipulation of the White Scars into a major war, was it? You just had to turn the Thramas Crusade into one of the most important campaigns of the Horus Heresy.
