The Hunter ignored the warning posted on the door before Old Yharnam. It was ink and old parchment, something made by human hand. It was the beasts she feared, the beasts she loathed. She did not fear men anymore. Shoulder braced against the door, she heaved it open.
The scent of blood and burning flesh met her nostrils. She was used to this by now, and knew the scent would forever be etched in memory. Would the nightmares be worse when she left this damned city?
Annabelle caught a glimpse of a human form upon entering the courtyard. She pointed her cane in their direction, a warning of her own. “Stay out of my way, Hunter!” she called to them, her voice a harsh bark. “And I’ll keep out of yours.” She turned away towards the bridge, readying herself to clear a path through the beasts which roamed there.
