Serena honestly had no idea why she’d shown up to the Valentine’s Day party. It wasn’t like she had anyone to share it with, and the idea of being a part of the it’s complicated population at the event felt rather depressing, especially being around all the loved up couples, it reminded her of the gaps in her own personal life, and how much she longed for a certain someone. Things were the very definition of complicated, and on that particular night, she wanted to let loose, have a few drinks and enjoy herself.
With a glass of wine in hand and a yellow band around her wrist, the blonde scanned the vicinity, wondering if she’d see anyone she knew. It didn’t take long until she caught sight of a very familiar figure. A fellow doctor from the hospital, the very man she’d been sleeping with casually for months. There were feelings bubbling beneath the surface and for the first time in a long while, Serena had no clue what to do. She really liked Gabriel. He was sweet, gentle, and probably one of the most beautiful men she’d ever laid eyes on. Why was it taking her so long to take things to the next level?
Quickly taking another sip of her drink, she wandered over to him, a smile forming on her face unprompted. It was natural when she was around him. He made her feel happy and wanted, and she’d be absolutely crazy if she’d ever let him go. “Well, hey there, stranger.” She greeted once she’d approached Gabe. “I didn’t think I’d see you here. It’s nice to see you, though.” She began, her gaze drifting down to the matching yellow band on his wrist, giving her an inkling of hope. — @docmelendez.
