The guard to Faron’s right raised his hand to look at the watch on his wrist. The sleeve of his black suit jacket travelled up and revealed a tattoo beneath.

He hoped the shock on his face wasn’t too obvious. Takeshi, even though Faron had only just gotten to know him, was just being nice. So what if they are a yakuza family? Faron was safe as long as they thought he’s human. Suddenly the choker around his neck was itching and felt too tight. And he’ll have to get to water at some point..
“Sorry, I don’t want to be tactless. I didn’t realise that you’re...But it’s fine! It’s fine, I’m still very grateful for your invitation. Thank you for inviting me.” Faron bowed his head in gratitude. “I’ll just stay for dinner and won’t intrude.”
