considering his stature in the first order, it's a bit of a surprise that the contracts kylo ren gives him are so easy to complete. still, at least it's an easy way to earn credits, so jacen can't really complain. he adjusts his helmet a little as he makes his way towards ren. as simple as the contract had been it hadn't exactly been without danger and jacen took a hit on the head he's going to have to deal with later. without his helmet, preferably. later.

"i have the information you asked for." jacen says as he steps inside, holding up a data disk. "contract complete. it's all yours once i see my credits."

patrols are a double-edged sword, at times. kuruk’s place is.. in the air, on rooftops, settled in a sniper’s nest and waiting for his mark. but at this point it’s good to be making movement. to focus on his work, on what he was forged for. he’s just lined up a number of suspected resistance supporters, ensuring that they understand the danger of resisting arrest before letting the troopers take care of them.

“sir.” he says as kylo approaches. he can only imagine how their leader must be feeling about this. finally able to get their cause moving again is no doubt a relief. “this sector is clear, for the time being. the sympathisers will be taken for questioning.” no doubt someone will reveal something. it’s only a matter of time, given their... methods. “your orders?”

these new directives, these orders to ignore the resistance and go for some unknown entity, the syndicate, it seems ridiculous. kuruk doesn’t like it. personal interests aside, it goes against everything the knights exist to achieve. and for far too long now they’ve been stuck, hands tied by this cease fire. diverting their attention to some unknown entity? a group that may not even exist?

this isn’t what the knights are for. kuruk strides into kylo’s quarters in his armour, helmet on and rifle strapped to his back. ready. ready to do more. “what are your orders?” he asks as his eyes land on their leader, clasping his hands behind his back. if he knows anything about kylo, if kylo is the leader kuruk knows he is, he won’t sit idly by and leave the resistance to their own devices. “with all due respect.. none of us are going to chase a phantom organisation. we’ve been stuck sitting on our hands for too long.” this could get him killed, kuruk knows. but it’s time for the knights to be what they are. and it’s time for kylo to show them he knows that.
