“C’mon Cap you know I can’t arrest you” There’s pain & longing in her eyes, the memories of their friendship & the TRUST she held for him are too fresh (and she knows that this is wrong, but she’s oh so DESPERATE) Her stance weakens before she runs her fingers through her hair, rules be damned. “This is up to you, you made the choice you thought was right, as did I... but I can’t stand by that choice if it means handing you over to be punished for nothing” She leans against the wall, feeling her age now more than ever, retirement was never an option for them “Go, run, and do a better job of it so I can’t find you again” (Even if that was what she wanted most)
