IT HAD BEEN A WHILE SINCE TJ’S LAST 3AM COOKING SESSION. Even though Jack was home safe and healing well, TJ still had a lot playing on his mind, which was why he couldn’t get any sleep at all. Jack, thankfully, was out like a light, leaving TJ staring silently at the ceiling until he gave up on trying to relax.
Eventually, he slipped carefully out of Jack’s embrace, trying his best not to disturb either his boyfriend or his boyfriend’s dog, who’d taken up residence on the floor at the end of the bed. He tiptoed around and pulled on a pair of sweatpants discarded by the bed, before creeping out of the room and going straight to the kitchen.
Garlic bread. That was his snack of choice. The second the bread was heating up in the oven, TJ seated himself at the nearby table, where he had a pile of paper brought home from work that he was studying like his life depended on it. Jack wouldn’t tell him anything, so he’d have to start piecing things together himself, even if his knowledge of the gang’s current activities was very limited.
