After trying to break the idiot old man out of his head strong charge then rushing and almost breaking the door down to get Astarion to go after him, he was now left alone with this strange kid he had no idea who the hell he was.
"Nico, meet my son, Xuan. Xuan, my son Nico. Play nice."
Gods, both of his 'dads' love to adopt the sad looking ones. Now he was left wondering how the other acted as he shouldered the massive hunk of metal on his spine.
The soldier reaches into his pocket, bypassing the smokes as he decides best to be less imposing... Well, as much as one can with a massive gun.
He pulls out a sucker, tearing the plastic off the top and pops it in his mouth, looking around the love hotel. Ugh, it was as bad as he imagined. He rests his gun against the wall carefully, rolling his shoulders to crack them.
He sniffs the air, scenting the space and looked to the other.
"They'll be fine. If anyone can get those two out, it's each other." There's a frown as he tries to place the scent. "Why do I smell blood? You got injuries that need patching?" He imagined Astarion would have already done so, especially seeing his dad's signature clothes on the human.
"Nicholas D. Wolfwood. Whatever Astarion said about me, it's not true, unless it was how cool I am." He flashes the other a grin around the candy, turning his hand over to reveal he was offering the other a sucker too. "You look like you could use something sweet to ease the day."
Get In Human, You're Being Moved ||@brokeassgoing||
Nai had thought he'd made plenty of noise clambering into the home. He'd just gotten the news of the home, walked around and given the big puppy dog eyes to Legato for one of the spare rooms being used by Badou. He couldn't just leave his silly human to live with gods knows what or who.
He needed to keep the idiot safe!
The moment he had confirmation he wasted no time when his love went to work to find the human. Age old trauma had him thinking his pet, but Badou never had been a pet. Sure, he had to protect him a lot and care for him when he was in danger, risking his own skin. Or carried cigarettes for the man as an instinctive thing to offer, but he wanted to confide in the man, to reach out to him when he wanted to socialize. A novel concept, but Astarion was helping him to understand the need for more than just his precious human.
Which led them all to now, him in Badou's room, standing over his bed and staring unblinkingly as he slept, impatiently waiting for him to wake up. He thought he'd been loud, but century old instincts kept him quiet as a mouse.
Don't wake him up, that would be rude. He had to remind himself to be patient, even as wings slowly fluffed up in mild irritation.
He opts for his backup plan, pulling out a can, holding it near the man and cracked open the fizzy beverage near his head, hoping the sound and smell of sweetness would do the trick.
Being under the effects of Pasithee’s magic again just doesn’t seem wise, and puts them a bit on edge. As if the ball wasn’t stressful on its own…
Still, though everyone in this hall wears disguises, they realize that this is a rare chance to speak their mind and remain anonymous. Out in the open, it’s ungracious to make complaints. Here, though…
“Isn’t it a little… weird? To be using this kind of magic for fun when it’s hurt so many people?” They might not have dared to voice their concerns as themselves, always the anxious one. It’s rather thrilling to speak out like this!
Once more he finds himself in the same forest, hunting the same creatures he'd devoured the last time he'd been there, this time remembering his Axe in hand. It would be far easier to pry back the tangled vines to reach his prize with the weapon meant for logging in hand.
But just as last time, he heard the sound of another, shouting something it seemed.
He'd just take a peak. He wasn't going to get involved unless the creatures were well distracted enough to become an easy meal. That's all he was doing as footsteps changed direction once more.
A lie he told himself constantly, alongside 'Karlach and Valas were rubbing off on him too much'.
He's met with a bizarre sight. A man up a tree looking down at the beasts howling and cackling at the base like a swathe of Gnolls. He knows the creatures could easily scale the tree and kill him, but it seemed they just wanted him busy or scared. Entirely consumed the four were with the man that it wasn't hard for Astarion to creep close.
Laughable, really.
The axe came down with frightening precision, driving deep into the brambles and into the meat of the beast's shoulder. The resulting shriek and turn was met with a snarl. He pounced, bringing the beast around right to the ground with a twist.
He wrenched the axe out, bringing it back down to break a few brambles off. In a flurry of movement, ignoring the teeth in his leg he lunged, sinking fangs into the bared flesh of the beast beneath.
Be it the foul dead blood the creature tasted on him or the sudden realization of who had joined the fray, the rest scattered, snarling and howling. Half drained, the spawn let the creature go, stumbling away from blood loss but making it to the tree line.
He twirled the axe, amused at the sight as he dragged a thumb over his lip to lick the last trace of blood. Red eyes then flash up at the other, axe resting heavily on his shoulder, the other raising to cover his eyes as if to look through the light to the other.
"Seems you're not favored by the locals much, are you?" The playful words roll from his lips, calling up into the leaves to the man clinging for dear life to the tree.
Fayeth and Wild have a little chat by the pool....
Wild and Wat agree that... well maybe the storm wasn’t so bad after all
@wildxhayes @fayeth-araven
faye: fayeth hadn't really spent much time at the pool finding she liked swiming in the beach or the waterfall much more but the place was really nice and still fun, shortly after arriving she noticed wilder and she smiled brightly getting closer "Hello!"
Wild: Wilder was not usually one for pools, but having been to the waterfall and the beach so much, he decided to check out the pool. As he approached with his bag and a cooler full of drinks and snacks he grinned when he saw Fayeth. "Hello lovely," he said as he walked over to a pool chair and laid his stuff down. He kicked off his jandals and pulled his shirt over his head before he sat down at the edge of the pool and grinned at her. "How you been then Gorgeous?"
faye: She sat down next to him by the edge of the pool, it was a veryy nice temperature she'd give it that too. "I've been good, I went back home for a few days because it was my brother's birthday..and you how have you been?"

Wild: "Oooh sounds good," Wilder smiled at her. "Did you have fun? Enjoy partying?" he asked as he opened a beer from his cooler. He held one out to her in offer. "I've been alright, been working on my house a bit," he explained.
faye: "It was a really nice party, and it was nice being back home and seeing my family and friends there, I can't say I've been homesick here but being back was lovely" she said with a nod "Oh yeah, how is your house going?
Wild: "Oh the house is great, I've been updating the kitchen a bit, I want to get an oven in there, but the kitchen is a bit small," he admitted. "And I bet your siblings were happy to see you. Did you trap any humans and steal their names?" he asked, nudging her with his elbow so she knew he was joking.
faye: "So you're making it bigger? And oven is an important thing to have" she laughed "Not this time no, also no humans that walked into the party and eneded up dancing all night or eating food and not being able to leave but hey maybe next time" she joked "you know everyone here has given me their names very freely"
Wild: "I never gave you my name, I just told you what it was," Wilder pointed out with a grin and then took a swig from his beer. "Mm, want a snack? I've got trail mix," he offered as he pulled a bag of said snack from his cooler and offered it to her. "I made it with these granola bits too, I thought they'd give it a good crunch," he explained. "But yeah, I'm trying to make the kitchen a bit bigger. I've got one of those countertop ovens, but it may be good to have a full one ya know?" he explained.
faye: "See you would be a good fae with that kind of word play" she admitted with a smile "But anyway I don't think that works here, though if I made a pact or something it would be diffrent" but she couldn't think any reason she'd do that "Oh yes thank you." she said taking some "well I think they are quite good too...those don't work as good the big ones?"
Wild: "That'd be interesting, too bad I can't switch teams," he joked with a wink. When she took some trail mix, he set the bag between then and dipped his feet into the water. "Yeah, it works okay, but not quite as good as the regular one. What about you, you still living in the suites?" he asked. "You know there's a good property near mine for sale, we could be neighbors,"
faye: "Do you want one those that are electric or one more traditional?" She knew very little about cooking considering she had never really cooked everything "That would be great I will have to see it, because yes I want a home here, the rooms are just not for me...besides you remember I told you of a friend that left the court? She's here! so maybe we can share the home"
Wild: "I think a small size electric one will be good," he told her. "Like one the size of those microwave drawer things," he explained. When she said that friend of hers was there he grinned. "Hey!" he smiled. "That's exciting, who's your friend?" he asked as he took another drink of his beer. "Want a beer?" he asked as he gestured to the cooler.
faye: "That sounds good, I suppose there's no use to get a bigger one unless you were going to use it a lot and there is the space issue too" she smiled bacK "Her name is Katell maybe you'll meet her someday, she's mayoring in dance" she explained "yes thanks.."
Wild: "I don't think I've met her yet," Wilder commented as he thought back about the people he had met. When she said she'd have a beer he pulled one out and popped the top off before handing it over to her. "Here you go. So is she a mistress or a slave?" he asked.
faye: "i ran into her during the last party I couldn't believe it" she was still somewhat shocked about it all "she's a slave.."
Wild: "Ah," Wilder nodded. "Yeah, that's bloody hard," he said gently. "I'm sorry," he said as he put his hand on her lower back and then put it back on the cement around the pool.
faye: "is part of why I'd like to get a home and if she agrees we can live together though mostly is just because she's my friend and I have missed her a lot" the whole thing was sad and complicated bit she was going to be there for katell always "but ..what about you, how are things with sage?"
Wild: "It makes sense," he nodded. "I think there's some homes that are for sale in the woods near my house," he told her. "But if you wanted me to build you a house I could do that too. Make you a brilliant treehouse," he explained. When she asked about things with Sage he sighed lightly and chuckled. "Well I told him that I didn't love the idea of him sleeping with my ex- but then I slept with my ex during the storm," he chuckled a little dryly and then sighed. "That storm was mad,"
faye: "if I don't like any maybe I will ask...or maybe even if I do like one, having a little treehouse would be nice too" she laughed "well I mean...its different.. but then the ex was a wild night and is back to akwardness?" she took a breath "it was, I saw people really acting up, I felt not quite myself but taht's it"
Wat (Leslie) joined the chat 12 days ago
Wat: "I guess my ears were burning," Wat smiled, a bit tightly, catching the tail end of that conversation. He had a towel draped over his arm, obviously ready for a bit of swimming on his own, his thin pale body dressed in a tight pair of swim trunks. "I can come back if you two are... wanting some privacy."
Wat: (probably won't be in for long but I'll try)
Wild: (Sorry, I got a phone call)
Wild: "Oh yeah, you know me, always wanting privacy with women," Wilder joked as he looked over at Wat. "Nah, you're fine. Want a beer? 'Fraid I don't have any blood."
Wat: "Well, technically, you do. Have blood." Wat smirked. Even if Wilder and he were in a place that he'd ever let Wat feed from him, it wouldn't be enough. Hell it might even be poison. Wilder was the only bear on the island... Wat pushed the thought away. He reached in the cooler for a beer, not entirely surprised to find NZ imports. "Discussing the storm, are we?"
faye: "Hello" she greeting Wat "yeah.. it was certainly..intense.."
Wild: Wild sighed deeply when Wat mentioned the storm and looked away before rubbing the back of his neck. "Ah, yeah," he admitted. "Fayeth is one of my best friends," he explained as he gestured to Fayeth. "I tell her a lot of shit," he took a longer drink of his beer and then glanced at him.
Wat: "That's nice." Wat moved to stick his legs in the pool for now, glancing to Fayeth, "The friends bit not the-- I'm sorry you didn't have a good time during it."
faye: (i'm going to bed i'm too tired bybeye)
Wild: (Night night)
Wild: Wild sighed at Wat's comment before he glanced at Wat. "I never said I didn't have a good time," he said softly.
Wat: "I was talking to Fayeth. Actually." Wat chewed his lip, a bit awkward there. He popped the cap off his beer before taking a sip. It brought back memories. He was never one for beer and it didn't affect him much, but he always sat around and drank at the bar. To fit in. For Wild. "So... did you? Have a good time?"
Wild: Wilder winced internally before he glanced at Wat and then nodded slightly. "I did," he said as he glanced at the vampire. "Did... Did you?" he asked as he peeled at the corner of the label of his beer.
Wat: "Of course I did," Wat answered with maybe a little too much sincerity. It wasn't like him. At least not the him people knew here. An old him that Wilder knew. A vulnerable him that too few people here knew. He chewed his lip again, speaking just a touch more casually, "Something I'd like to do again..."
Wild: Wilder looked at Wat when he replied sincerely before smiling slightly and nodded. "Yeah," he agreed and then slipped into the water of the shallow end, the water going to his waist. "I- I'd like to do it again sometime too," he admitted as he glanced up at Wat with a slight smile.
Wat: "Yeah?" Wat couldn't help but look surprised. He fully expected to be told off or for Wild to even get up and leave. Why? Because he deserved to be punished by the person he'd hurt? Why couldn't they make progress? "Me-- I mean--" Wat smiled and gave a short laugh, "Okay... Good. Great."
Wild: He chuckled softly before nodding as he ran his fingers through his hair and then turned so he was facing Wat. "I mean, yeah," he nodded and then shrugged. "I- I don't really think I want to be in a relationship right now, I did just get out of a relationship," he pointed out with a grin. "But I mean, hooking up..." he shrugged and smiled at Wat.
Wat: "No, I know and..." Wat gave his own shrug, taking another sip of beer. Things were complicated with them. And Wild's previous relationship was more than complicated by itself. "I'm glad you'd want to spend time with me. That we can be mature about this..."
Wild: "It's hard because you know I'm very immature," he grinned at Wat before finishing off his beer. "Throw us another one, yeah?"
Wat: "700 years old and I have yet to meet anyone that can sulk like yours truly." Wat smiled, taking a dig at himself before reaching into the cooler and tossing one... just short of Wild's grasp. "700 years and still can't throw either. Sorry."
Where was the fucking theater… You’d think in a place as this seemed to be, it was be a pretty prominent building. But apparently that wasn’t the case. And it was pissing Nova off to no end. After puking her guts out on the boat ride there and suddenly finding out that she had been apparently drop-kicked to the bottom of the food chain, she really could use a bit of time to gather her internal shit. She had passed several people who seemed like they could have been potentially helpful but this didn’t seem like the right time to break her independent streak. Especially since she had more of a reason to not trust people.
God..finally. The brunette breathed out a sigh of relief as she finally spotted the campus theater. She had no idea, and even less fucks to give, if her new ‘status’ meant she wasn’t allowed in there. It wasn’t all that hard to find a back door and slip in unnoticed. Finding an empty stage might be harder but it seemed like luck was on her side at last. Sighing, Nova stepped onto the well-worn but polished wood and just let herself drop, collapsing in a heap as she tried to focus on her breathing. She could do this. Because really, now different would it be from her life back home?
Renewed strength finally filled her limbs, as Nova adjusted her hearing aid and pulled up a song on her new phone. As basic as it was, it was nicer than anything she had ever had. Hoodie was then shucked, waist-length hair pulled into a hasty bun. And at last Nova could let herself go in the only way she knew how.
How often Wat sat in his theater, sometimes even in the dark, thinking over the many he’s sat in, performed in over the years. Even wrote and directed for over the centuries. How many stage names, how many times he’d moved away, lost the company he so dearly enjoyed... because of what he was. It was hard to believe he was sharing this space, the offices as well with Wilder. Improv wasn’t Wat’s style and he never had the interest to join. Besides that was something Wild could have on his own without Wat, which was good. And Wat simply enjoyed watching Wilder too damn much.
Way back when.
His head lifted as the girl-- a slave-- breezed through the back door, thinking she was sneaky if not for his vampire hearing. She didn’t seem to notice him but he was way off in the last row of the balcony. A small balcony but giving him a view of the entire stage, drawing out set design for “Little Shop of Horrors” despite not even posting auditions for the show yet. He often worked grossly out of order to the frustration of all departments. But in the end, the show always went off without a hitch.
The song wasn’t his favorite. He’d much prefer “Chandelier” or even “Titanium” though admittedly they did have very similar qualities. He watched the girl dance and even this far he could tell he’d not seen her before. Surely she’d be in Ava’s classes. Setting the clipboard aside, Wat transformed into a small brown bat, fluttering down from the balcony towards the stage, landing with a soft squeak of his white Converse shoes. He dressed in dark maroon jeans, and a black shirt reading “My body is a temple, ancient, crumbling, probably cursed, filled with unspeakable horror.” A pencil sat behind his ear. He smiled pleasantly to her.
Chatzy Archive of VEry Important happenings I simply forgot to post
In which Malon, Sage, Wat and Wilder have a pleasantly chill time before Wat ruins everything with a lost relic of Wilder’s...
@wildxhayes @sage-syke @thesingingelfstar
Wat: Wat being in 'a bit of a mood' wasn't exactly big news, or even news. He had his moods. The reason why he was in a mood was... rather singular in his 700 and pennies years of living. He shouldn't have been moody and that was making him moody. It was his fault, all of it, his problems with Wilder. And yet he was angry... with himself, yes, but also with Wild. Just being here. Reminding him he'd fucked up so badly. That he had so many problems he would have rather run away from. And not eating in about a week wasn't exactly helping either. And when Wat got hungry and moody, he prowled walking the campus at all hours of the night instead of going to some willing slave at the blood bar... ((Whoever joins can decide where they are.))

Malon
: ((would the lounge be a good spot? or the beach?
Wat
: (Either one! 🙂 )
Malon
: ((hmmm lounge it is
Malon
: Malon was alone in the lounge kind of in the mood to be himself by dancing alone with loud music. He took his speaker with him and played whatever was on the radio dancing to himself. No formal or precise dancing just feeling whatever his body was in the mood for. It has been a while since he danced like this and since it was summer vacation he can do this more often.
Sage

Wat
: ((BTW listening to groovy-dark Jack Sworetti is really perfect for moody Wat LOL)) Wat ventured towards the lounge, hearing music, annoyingly loud, meant someone was inside at any rate. He opened the door, his dark mood ever so slightly darker, however on the fence he was about seeing Malon. A nice elf, but ...a bit of a tease. Which Wat only when he was specifically in the mood to be teased. It was nice the elf was having a nice time... Wat crossed the room, rather pointedly picking up Malon's personal speaker and turning it down, though not off, placing it back down and venturing towards the bar without so much as a hello.
Malon
: Hearing his music turned down it snapped him out of his mood and before he was going to complain he saw it was Wat that did it walking to t he bar without saying anything. "Oh hey there Wat I didnt hear you come in. Sorry if my music was too loud for you." He was panting a bit from his dancing walking up to the bar to grab himself a drink as well. He saw the vampire was in a mad mood. "Whats up with you mate? Had a bad day or something?"
Sage
: Sage was coming back from work when he heard music in the lounge. Smiling softly, he made a beeline for the lounge where he saw them. "Hi," He said feeling the mood was a bit odd in the room. He walked into the lounge more, going to grab a water bottle.
Wat
: "Something like that..." Wat said, still a bit testy, though the apology was noted with a small nod. He fixed himself a glass of blood wine. It wouldn't set him entirely right, but it was enough. And he was far old enough that even two weeks without wouldn't be starving himself. He looked up, seeing someone else join them. Sage... he thought that was right. He didn't think he'd met this one formerly. "You're a pixie, aren't you? How'd you like to come home with me tonight?" Wat asked Sage with a bit of a leveled look before pouring his wine.
Malon
: "Hello." He looks back to see Sage and waves at him before hearing Wat asking the other person to join him tonight. Grabbing his whiskey he goes back to the couches and flops down turning the music up a bit louder but not too loud to not hear conversations. "Be careful that man can be a bit 'handsy' at times." Obvious giving a friendly tease looking at the vampire with a wink and a smile.
Sage
: Sage's gaze snapped to Wat's when he addressed him. "Yes, I'm a pixie, sir. I'm Sage," he said. "I can come home with you if that is what you want. I don't mind," He smiled, before looking at Malon. "Hello, Malon. I don't mind handsy."
Wat
: Wat gave Malon a somewhat curious look, not nearly as irritated as he was before now that he had a prospect, and a pixie no less, to take home. That would lift his mood, considerably, he was sure of it. "I'm a perfect gentleman. It's not my fault you're a prude, Malon." Wat shot, though not harshly, not entirely. He smiled, a bit tightly, to Sage, "I'm Wat Fletcher. The acting teacher."
Sage
: Sage looked between the two of them, laughing lightly. "It is nice to meet you, Mr. Wat. Acting teacher? That must be really fun, I haven't seen a lot of movies, but the ones I have are great. And I have friends that are into acting."
Malon
: "Oh how insulting of you Mr. Wat to be sooo rude." He sticks out his tongue switching positions to lay on his back and kicking his feet on the armrest of the couch vibing to his own music.
Wat
: "Haven't you ever seen a play?" Wat looked curious, unable to help the slight snobbish air his question possessed. He smirked slightly at Malon's remark, already his mood lifting ever so slowly. He continued speaking to Sage, "You ought to come to the next play we do. Or even audition if you'd like. Though, we're going to do Shakespeare for the summer if GRace and I can get together and decide on which play..."
Malon
: "Dont do Romeo and Juliet please that one is overdone too many times." Malon waves his hand in the air finishing his whiskey before getting up and walking back to the bar for a refill.
Sage
: "I've been in plays, but they were sex plays and I was the only person in them, so maybe that doesn't count. I've seen plays in Paris before, and there was a Christmas one last year." He said taking a seat on the floor in front of the sofa. "I like Shakespeare. Hamlet is my favorite," he said.
Wat
: "This isn't high school literature class," Wat chuckled a little at Malon's quite right complaint. His eye brows shot up at Sage's mention of 'one man sex plays' and he turned his full attention to the pixie. Who was looking more delicious by the minute. Wat followed him, sitting next to him, stretching his legs out, clad in tight black jeans and the classic black Beatles ankle boots, topped with a black Rolling Stones teeshirt. "Hamlet is my favorite too, usually. Good taste." He patted Sage's head gently in praise. "Go back, though, sex plays?"
Sage
: "Hamlet was one of the first stories I read in English. I normally read happier things, but I always go back to the play and read it dozens of times." He said drinking some of his water. "Have you seen a lot of Romeo and Juliet plays done?" He asked Malon before looking back at Wat. "Yes plays where I dress up and be different people and then have sex with my master and his friends."
Malon
: "That is a um interesting play there Sage......" Never thought it could be a real thing or was it an excuse to just fuck him around with other people. "were you okay with that?"
Wat
: "You had a master before coming here?"Wat looked down at the pixie, stroking his hair, hoping it was nothing to worry over. "How do you like the island then? Is it troubling or comforting, everything that goes on here?"
Sage
: "Yes, I had two masters before coming here. Not at the same time though." He said grinning as he touched his hair. "I didn't mind the plays, I had lines to read and it helped me learn to read and it made my master and his friends happy," He said. "I like it here. I like school and my job and lots of friends and being helpful to masters."
Wat
: Wat gave a shrug, looking to Malon, obviously not too worried over the fact if Sage seemed slright with it. At least for now. He didn't see the need to prod further about it. "Nothing wrong with a little role playing..."
Malon
: "Just a curious thing is all. But whatever makes you happy." He shrugs back sipping his whiskey feeling a bit warm all over his body.
Sage
: "I don't mind role-playing. It's nice to make other people happy and I like it. Do you both like role-playing?"
Malon
: "I uh dont like too many physical affection from people I dont know. I have a weird thing about sexual stuff, not that im opposed to it just want to do it with someone I fully trust."
Wat
: "Honey, I'm the acting teacher..." Wat chuckled and looked to Malon, shaking his head. He hadn't minded keeping his hands to himself at the time, having Malon over. But being more practical, he spoke a bit bluntly, "It would be wise to get over that sooner rather than later, dear. We're due for some magical mischief making."
Malon
: "Well when I feel comfortable around you and know you wont do anything shitty then I'll open up." He did like the vampire and how respectful he was the last time they hanged out but he still wasnt comfortable enough to expose himself just yet.
Sage
: "That's nice to want to trust someone first." Sage never had the option, and, to him, the best way to trust someone is if they are nice to him during sex. "Have you not had a lot of sex then?"
Malon
: "Its been a while........the last time I had sex besides halloween was back home and it didnt end too well." Malon got quiet remembering his home and frowning to himself. "I dont mind some touching but not sexual."
Wat
: "Malon, I'm not being bitchy just because..." Wat gave a shrug, "It'll save you some trauma in the long run not to put so much... emotional weight into sex. Especially here." Wat's fingers trailing through Sage's hair casually.
Sage
: "Touching like hand-holding?" He asked. "Are you very young? I like sex and don't mind having sex with people that aren't close with me, but I do like sex more when it's with a friend. I have a friend that I like sleeping with, he is very nice."
Malon
: "Holding hands is fine. And im not too young for a elf I am over 400 years old. And I know I shouldnt be picky but I like to have that option open at least.......and some control." He sat up now resting his elbows on his knees looking down at the floor. "I know not everyone is bad here and can build the trust but............its hard to trust people with power with something so intimate."
Wat
: "Sex can also just be an outlet, Malon... Something to take pleasure in. Be a little hedonistic and not... intimate at all, actually. Would that be so bad?" Wat took a sip of his drink, fingers still playing with Sage's hair, then spoke to the pixie, "Sage, why not sit up here next to me?"

Sage
: "400 is not that old, Elves have long life spans. You could feel differently in the future. I don't like control, it's too much, and I fear I'll mess something up, though when it comes to work, I don't mind a little bit," He said before nodding at Wat, moving to sit next to him.
Wilder
: (Hello!)
Sage
: (Hello, we are in the loung)
Wilder
: (Thank you!)
Sage
: (should I go get popcorn?)
Wat
: (LOL perfect timing)
Malon
: (lmao XD)
Wilder
: Wilder hadn’t been to the lounge in a little while, not since finishing his house, so after putting on his jandals and walking to the school, he made his way to the lounge, stepping in and glancing around the room. “Hey all,” he said as he walked in and towards the bar to grab a beer.
Malon
: He really should get over his fear with authority and sex since here enforces that dynamic. Hearing someone come in he looks up to see Wilder waving back. "Hey there."
Sage
: (his fucking Jandals should not be a turn on)
Wilder
: (Lol they’re flip flops!)
Wat
: (LMAO, if we had a year book I want that line in it XD)
Wilder
: (No kidding! XD)
Sage
: (either way I am turned on and upset haha)
Wilder
: (That’s a fucking mood)
Wat
: Wat shifted to allow Sage to sit comfortably next to him, placing his arm around Sage and unable to help himself, took a deep inhale, catching the scent of pixie blood just under the surface. His hand rested at the back of Sage's neck, moving into his hair ever so often but mostly wanting to touch the thrum of his pulse at his neck. And then Wilder walked in... If Wat had a heart beat it would have been racing. "What's happened to your face?" Wat asked, mostly jokingly but also surprised. He hadn't seen Wild since the man had saved his beard.
Wat
: ((Is his hair still long?))
Wilder
: (I hadn’t thought about it, but you know what, no, he had a haircut!)
Sage
: Sage shivered slightly at Wat's hand on his neck but smiled at him nonetheless. "Wilder," He smiled seeing his friend. "You cut your hair, I like it,"
Wat
: ( *le gasp!* )
Wilder
: “Cheers,” Wilder smiled as he looked at Sage, glancing between him and Wat slightly before he stepped behind the bar and got himself a beer. “You may have been dead for awhile, but you know this one- it’s called shaving,” he quipped to Wat with a lazy smile, giving him a small wink. He took a sip of his beer and then glanced around at the others. “Anyone need anything?” He asked.
Wat
: "Well... you look different. I was liking the pirate/biker look." Wat gave a shrug, as if he didn't care. As if Wilder looking almost exactly like he did 40 years ago didn't strike him to his core. Having all that extra hair was at least some buffer, some aspect of change... Making things between them a little further away, almost safer.
Malon
: Malon kind of stayed on the couch thinking about what Wat had said about sex being an outlet and letting himself be more comfortable with other people. But he was still scared of having the same thing happen again if he was with someone that was abusive. But he had to take the risk right? He did it with two people before but he was super drunk and wasnt thinking back then.
Sage
: "I told him he looked like a pirate too, a very handsome pirate, but now he still looks nice," He said. "No I have water already, thank you though," Sage grinned before glancing at Malon. "Can I make you a flower crown?"
Wilder
: “I think I look rather fetching now,” Wilder said as he self consciously ran his hand through his recently cut hair. “The hair was getting a bit much while I was building my house,” he explained as he walked around the bar and walked over, flopping down on the couch- like he always did. Less of a sit and more of a collapse onto the sofa he’d picked so he could see everyone. “So what are we talking about?”
Wat
: "You built a house? I've been here... a while now and I haven't even settled on a design yet." Wat said with some astonishment. Though with Wild he should have known. "The hair looks good. You always look good... I want to talk about this house you've built."
Malon
: "Huh? Oh um ya you can make me a flower crown." He hasnt worn one in a while and it would be nice to have one right now. "Wish i can make you one too Sage."
Sage
: "We are talking about plays and sex." He said to Wilder. "You look very fetching, I'll miss braiding your hair, but I can still put nice ribbons in your hair," he said before grinning at Malon. "You don't have to make me one, I like making them for people, and you are an elf, a nice flower crown is a must. What's your favorite flower?"
Malon
: "I do like Tudor roses they are a pretty flower." He moved closer to the group especially to Sage so he can watch the pixie do the flower crown.
Wilder
: “Plays and sex- that sounds like a Wat subject all right,” Wilder grinned as he looked over at Wat and then sipped his beer. He drew a pack of cigarettes and his lighter and lit a cigarette, smiling at Wat slightly before he glanced at Sage. “I hope you’ll still make me flower crowns with the short hair,” he added before glancing at Wat again. “I built a tree house- like the kind I always talked about having,” he explained.
Wat: Wat quirked an eyebrow at Sage mentioning braiding Wilder's hair and felt a rather hard pange of jealousy he knew was completely undeserved. He felt settled, comforted by Wild's grin towards him and smiled in return, looking away from the man. He combed his fingers through Sage's hair as if some reward or apology for his own silent misgiving. "I never thought you were all that serious about it." Wat chuckled slightly, glad to be proven wrong.
Sage: Sage grabbed his bag from the floor, pulling out jars of flowers and other odd things he had. "I have a lot of roses, they are popular around here, I can make you one right now," He smiled. "I will still make you flower crowns, Wilder. You will need new ones because you have shorter hair." He assured. "Do you have a favorite color rose, Malon?" He asked before grinning at Wat when he combed his fingers through his hair. "I can make you one as well."
Malon: "My favorite color Forest Green, Royal Purple, Midnight Blue, and Silver. Those are my favorite colors and whatever flowers you have I do like all kinds of flowers."
Wilder: Wilder watched as Wat ran his fingers through Sage’s hair and found himself feeling a little self conscious again, suddenly wondering if there was something happening there. “Oh come off it,” he said as he exhaled the smoke from his light slowly. “You should know that I never joke around about the outdoors- when
Wilder: (Sorry I hit enter too quick!)
Wilder: “Even after what happened to me last time I went hiking alone, I’d never joke about living near the outdoors,” he smiled lazily at Wat before gesturing between him and Sage. “How long have you two been seeing each other?” He asked, trying to keep from sounding as jealous as he felt.
Wat: (Oh god I'm gonna make myself cry listening to youtube. Howard Jones and Nik Kershaw from like 10 years ago jamming live??? A slow version of "Wouldn't It Good"??????)
Wilder: (No cry!)
Wat: (I really gotta deep dive Nik Kershaw. He's got one of my fav voices from the 80s...)
Sage: "I can make you a crown mixed with flowers of all those colors. I've gotten really good at making crowns now. I make them at work and sell them," He said as he got to work on binding the flowers. Sage furrowed his eyebrows at wilder's words. "I've seen him a lot around school.'
Wat: Wat let his hand retract from touching Sage altogether with the mention of 'what happened last time'. But he was a little glad he did, and took a sip of his blood wine, hoping to hide whatever look of distress was racing across his face. And nearly choked on his wine. "I've only just met him." Wat said, almost dismissively. And realized that probably made things sound worse. "Thank you, Sage, but I'll decline. It would ruin my mysterious vibe."
Wat: ((Wat is wearing all black today because he was In A Mood. Black jeans, Beatles ankle boots and a Rolling Stones teeshirt))
Wilder: (Wilder is in shorts and a shirt, both matching print, monstera leaves on a yellow background)
Wat: (100% not surprised LOL)
Wilder: (It’s a vibe)
Wilder: Wilder noticed the way Sage frowned and then glanced at Wat with a small smirk. “Back to your old tricks?” He teased lightly as he took another drag from his cigarette.
Sage: "I don't think a crown would ruin your vibe, Sir. You would look very nice with one. You have a pretty face. I can make one with darker flowers if you want to match with your clothes." He suggested.
Wat: "Thank you, Sage. No... not dark flowers." Wat smiled gently to Sage, not wanting him to feel like he wasn't appreciated. He looked to Wilder, "All my tricks are old tricks. Are you seriously smoking?"
Wilder: “What are you- my mum?” Wilder asked with a scoff as he exhaled the smoke. “I smoked the first time we met,” he reminded Wat as he put out the cigarette and the finished off his beer and stood to get another one. He walked over to the bar and grabbed another bottle, moving to open the lid with his lighter, but his hand slipped and he hissed in discomfort when he realized he’d broken a nail. “Son of a bitch,” he mumbled.
Malon: Malon sips on the whiskey listening the to conversation leaning back on the chair. "I feel like I am watching a novela right now."
Sage: "If you change your mind, let me know, sir," Sage said as he watched the two of them, finishing off Malon's flower crown. "Here you go, Malon. I hope it is fitting for an elf," he said before looking at Wilder. "Are you okay? do you need a bandage?"
Wat: "It's terrible for you..." Wat chided, looking over in more concern than befitted a teacher looking over at a colleague when Wild hissed and cursed. He ignored Malon's comment, but the man wasn't wrong. He should probably quietly reschedule with Sage before things got any more awkward.
Wilder: “No it’s just a broken nail,” he commented as he looked at his nail and then to the others with a shrug and a smile. “Anyone got a knife?” He asked as he opened his beer with a bottle opener rather than a lighter- he had definitely been trying to show off a little, for who, he didn’t know, but he had definitely been trying to show off.
Wat: "Yes, what did you even do?" Wat got up, touching Sage's shoulder briefly, as if he need not be too concerned and pulled his trusty utility knife from his pocket. One he'd kept for 40 years and now handed over to Wilder without a second thought. Falling back into old habits, into old motions, old routines. Being concerned when the handyman of the pair hurt himself...
Wat: ((I'm about to leave to go to bed so here's your novela moment, Ash XD))
Wilder: “I don’t know,” Wilder laughed as he looked at his thumbnail and showed it to Wat with a chuckle. “Just broke it, I’m just going to cut off the hangnail it gave me,” he explained as he held his hand out to accept the knife that Wat was pulling from his pocket.
Malon: ((*le gasp* next time on The Love Triangle of Heart Breaks, Will Wat ever get Sage to himself? Will Wilder accept that Sage will be with other people? next week you will find out~!))
Wilder: (Lol Wilder and Wat are exes)
Malon: ((EVEN BETTER))
Sage: (HAHAH)
Wat: (LMAO PLOT TWIST!)
Malon: ((will the exes get over their heart break? Is there love still between the two? Can Sage heal their hearts!? WILL ANYONE FIND TRUE LOVE))
Wat: ((Not me listening to "Only You" by Yazoo on repeat thru various covers as a soundtrack here...))
Sage: (will we ever find out how Wilder cut himself?!?!?!)
Malon: ((NEXT WEEK ON LOVE TRIANGLE OF HEART BREAK))
Wilder: (Y’all ready for some drama? Lol)
Sage: (always)
Malon: (I LIVE for the drama~ and poor Malon is just the live audience in this novela lol)
Wat: Wat gave a small chuckle, shaking his head and set his glass down after taking a last swig on the bar. Wat set the knife in Wild's hand, only realizing exactly what he had done the moment his grip loosened on the item. He drew his hand away. It was too late now. The weight of Wild's beloved knife, given to him by his step father, stolen, technically, 40 years ago when Wat had left him. As something to remember his lover by. As cowardly a move as leaving him, taking something that important... He took a step back. If he had breath, it would have hitched...
Wilder: Wilder’s fingers brushed Wat’s cool ones as he took the knife, still smiling at the vampire lightly before he glanced down at the knife in his hand and his face fell. “Are you fucking kidding me?” He asked, trying not to let his voice shake with the betrayal he was feeling. “You’ve had it this whole time? Do you know how long I’ve looked for this bloody knife? It was my dad’s you know that don’t you you prick?” He demanded as his hand closed around the knife and he held it to his chest. “It’s not enough, you just taking off- but you know, I was almost ready to look past that- but this?!” He demanded, staring at the other as if he was seeing him differently for the first time in forty years. “I can’t fucking believe you.”
Malon: Malon moved to a chair crossing his legs to watch the whole thing go down. "Thank you Sage for the flower crown its perfect and whoa I didnt know there was drama with these two....."
Wilder: (Have none of you ever broken a nail on a beer bottle cap? Am I the only disaster lush in this group? Lol)
Sage: Sage smiled at Malon. "I am happy you liked it, and I thought there was something about them, Thought they were friends," he frowned.
Sage: (You are in fact, a lush hahaha. I have never had a beer)
Wilder: (I know I’m a lush, I fully accept that)
Wat: This was what Wat had been waiting for. The anger he deserved. He didn't expect the catalyst to be a knife, but in a way, he should've. One more horrible deed added to the pile. One more better than the truth of the situation. Wat knew he was fooling himself. This couldn't be fixed. Even if Wild forgave him for taking the knife, it wasn't the only thing and it was far from the worst. Of course he wouldn't. And that look Wild gave him, it was the same look he'd given before Wat had made him forget... Wat took another step back, eyes wide with hurt and shame from the situation. There was no apology good enough. So he didn't even try. One last step backwards and Wat's vampire form warped into small brown bat with a flair of light smoke, flapping towards the nearest open window and making his escape.
Wat: ((Nighty night!! 💗 ))
Wilder: (It begins)
Sage: (I have to dip out as well, it is 3:44 in the morning.)
Wilder: Wilder stood there, staring at Wat before scowling as the other turned into a bat and took off. He held the knife to his chest a little tighter, feeling tears form in his eyes- not for the first time in the past forty years, but definitely in a much more intense way than he had been expecting. “I- I’m sorry,” he gasped to Malon and Sage. “I didn’t mean to ruin your night,” he wiped clumsily as his eyes, trying to hide the tears, the betrayal, the desertion, all feeling very fresh again, like it was happening all over again, and it hurt all over again. “I’m sorry,”
Sage: (oi I have to reply to Wilder real quick)
Wilder: (Lol okay!)
Sage: Sage was confused as one moment the two were talking, then yelling and Wat turned into a bat and left. Getting up from his seat he made his way over Wilder. "Hey, hey. Are you okay? You didn't ruin anything. Do you want a snack? something to drink. You are sad." He frowned, hugging him.
Wilder: Wilder chuckled softly at Sage’s rapid fire questions, hugging him back after a moment and resting his forehead against Sage’s temple lightly before he let out a sigh. “That vampire? He’s my ex- and he left me after I was turned, and for forty years I have acted like I understood- and like it didn’t bother me- but it did,” he admitted to the two. “And my life has been shit since then, since I was changed, since the man I thought loved me turned his back on me- and then I came here, and he was here, and I thought maybe it was a sign that we could get past it- try again or something,” he let out a soft humorless chuckle before shaking his head. “But then I find out- he’s just as selfish as ever- this was the only thing I had left after my dad died,” he explained as he held the knife in his palm tightly. “And I’ve been looking for it for forty years. And he knew how much it meant to me,” he explained as he looked at the knife in his hand, the pain from his broken nail overwhelmed by the pain of the betrayal all over again. “It’s like being punched in the gut when you realize the people you thought you could love again don’t care for you at all,” he explained softly. “Be careful around him Sage- all he does is hurt people.”
Malon: Listening to the conversation and the warning Malon felt something in his stomach. "he isnt all bad......" He argued speaking up for the first time. "He was good to me when I hanged out with him alone. He didnt force himself onto me when I told him I have trust issues.......but thanks for the warning."
Sage: Sage frowned. "Maybe he kept it because he missed you?" He said softly, running his fingers through Wilder's shorter hair. "He shouldn't have taken it, and what he did was mean and not nice you don't do that to people you love, and turning into a bat and leaving was mean as well. I'm upset that he made you cry, I will make him a flower crown with lost of thorns in it."
Sage: (okay, I have go now)
Sage left the chat 6 days ago
Wilder: “Yeah, that’s fine,” Wilder said as he looked at Malon, still feeling particularly bitter. “Just don’t get too close to him, because next thing you know, you’ll be in love, planning a future together, talking about a family- and then he’ll just take off at the first thing that inconvenience him,” Wilder said humorlessly before smiling softly at Sage. “Thanks,” he mumbled and then sighed. “Malon, do whatever you like, but that prick running off again, that’s all he does. He gets you attached and then he leaves.” He said as he stared down at the knife, running his thumb over it. “Let him go, he’s a fucking coward,” he said before he turned and grabbed a bottle of whiskey from the shelf and poured himself a shot. He took it quickly and then hissed in discomfort. “Fuck him,” he said simply.
[Text: Wat]: Hey, I'm thinking we should probably talk? -Wilder
[text] Alright
Wat visibly flinched even as he hit send, gripping the phone in his hand and attempting not to bash himself in the head with it for how stupid a reply that was. He took a deep breath.
[text] I'd like that.
Rumor around the island was the storm had made all kinds of wild things happen that night. Bloody witches. Wat was only glad he hadn't killed anyone and there were plenty of slaves who were wary of him anyway. He couldn't go round sending apology flowers to everyone. And he wouldn't.
He didn't think he had anything to apologize for to Wild.
