2022 nov 15 // Work and life in general has kept me crazy busy and I’ve had little time for my hobbies. I’m working towards reclaiming my creative routines, and am sure everything will eventually return to my desired level of ”normality”.
Last week though, while my husband was away on a business trip for 5 days, I got around to collage a couple of frames I recently bought at a local 2nd hand store.
They turned out like this:
I liked how they turned out and so they got to move up on the livingroom wall
Last sunday a friend and I visited an outdoors flea market in the Stockholm city center, there I spotted a fairly large and old looking box filled with threads. Vintage sewing threads wrapped around paper… not sure what it’s called, thread cards perhaps?
So I picked three of these cards and asked for the price, and he quickly responded 40 SEK for the whole lot! (that’s like €4 or $4). But the box was too big AND falling apart, AND I wasn’t all that interested in the threads - I wanted the cards 😄 Of course I bought the whole box and today I rummaged through the whole thing, and now the thread cards are nearly gathered in an old tin sitting in my work space:
Finally I’ll mention that I never got back into my planner project… I haven’t given up on it entirely, but continue to print my daily notes and glue them to the planner pages. But I haven’t had the time or energy to collage those pages.
I want to try this 12 months planner project AGAIN, from 1st of January. Next time though to take in consideration the hectic Autumn with its ridiculously short days (currently the sunset is at 3:25 PM and we have on average 2 hours of sunlight per day). I still haven’t figured out how next year’s project will look, but I’m leaning towards a planner & commonplace book combination, with more focus on text and less on collage… ah, we’ll see 😄
