"If I knew I'd get a new friend out of this, I'd have dressed up a little." came the ghost's reply, teasing.
Jill was exhausted — rightfully so. Escaping a tyrant meant solely for your own destruction was hard enough on its own — couple that to a whole city of infected zombies, creatures, and two someones to rescue alongside all of that, and anyone would pass out the second they managed to relax even a fraction. The chair certainly wasn't comfortable, but after also experiencing the military herself, she knew you quickly learned to fall asleep wherever you were.
Lou didn't need to sleep, and as such, kept watch over her best friend and Ailani whilst they both had rested. It was a welcome change, having someone finally be able to see her since her death and actually hold a conversation with someone for the first time in a long while. It helped that she was so friendly, and her arms crossed slightly as she adjusted her seat on the bed.
"Just wait a little longer. Until things are as okay as you can make it, and you'll see them."
