“Good morning there, sleepyhead. It’s about time you woke up.” Ollie greeted Kara as her eyes slowly flickered open. “You got hit pretty hard the other night, how do you feel?” Her vitals seemed normal, for her.

Lucinda groaned as she finally came to, groggily opening her eyes. She looked around, noting she was in a hospital room. The TV droned on softly--an anime of some kind--and the white room seemed like a prison cell.
She slowly sat up, careful not to move her wrist too much because of the IV. She suddenly noticed the numerous bandages on her head. She tried to remember how she got here, but all she could remember was some kind of explosion and someone shouting something.
She furrowed her eyebrows, trying to grip the memory, but it seemed to be just out of her reach.
She looked up when she heard someone enter the room. He did not seem to be a worker for the hospital, but he looked relieved to see her. She only wished she knew why. Because she didn’t know him.
“Um...hello?”

The sound of the monitors beeping filled the small room, where the two patients were kept. White covered the room. White walls. White ceilings. White gowns. Eddie had managed to escape with a few cuts and bruises, Waylon on the other hand, had a concussion. His head hurt. Light eyes opened up, peeking up at the white ceiling, closing them before opening then again, the light not as bright this time. He had saved Eddie's life, but at the cost of Eddie's memories. He glanced over at him. He was obviously only being kept for monitoring purposes. Everything smelt so... Sterile. It reminded him of the operating room at Mount Massive, where he had once ran files down to. His body ached. How much would Eddie remember? Likely nothing. He probably didn't even remember his own name. "E... Eddie..." he mumbled, even if the other didn't know it was his name, hopefully it would still wake him up. "Eddie... Wake up," he croaked.
