He was surprised, openly at that, brows quirked and mouth ajar for a moment. Lips pressing into a line as he followed Max, a soft smile formed when he saw Neto. “What made you think that?” he quipped curiously, rugged hands running through dishevelled locks. A few slow trudged till his bum sank onto the bench next to her, crystallised orbs settling on the box she pulled from her bag. Speechless for a moment as he peeled it open. “I…” brows furrowed, why was she so nice to him? “Thanks,” he whispered softly, a genuine smile stretching across his lips. “It’s… nice,” Caddock managed, he never was good at talking or with words. “How have you been?”
She’d grown used to Caddock’s company every night, splitting her dinners whenever he showed even the slightest interest. Having grown up fairly unsupervised, Solena found comfort in his company, quiet or not. Even if it had just been about seeing Neto so excited to see his buddy Max, she would have still pestered him with her chatter. “Okay, no laughing at me.” Her pale green eyes looked at him, her hickory brown hair falling like a little curtain protecting her from the embarrassment of her cheeks flushing bright red. “We had it for dinner a month ago...the night we met.” Sol pressed her bright red lips into a nervous line feeling painfully exposed as being smitten with him.
