Celestials | Xuanji & Jingyan
Superstition. It was deeply rooted within humanity, but it was not something that should be feared. Superstitions, much like other intuitive things, were not bad or good omens, and they were most certainly not universal. Rather, they were all vastly subjective things ( she herself did not find them to be something that should be taken for granted and so when the sky had darkened her expression was not the one of terror or anguish, but rather of interest and appreciation ). The eclipse had come and gone swiftly, taking with it the reason of most people gathered in Switzerland, and if it was not so disappointing, it would have been a rather amusing sight to witness - grown men and women squealing in terror just because one celestial object eclipsed the other ( and to think that they were the ones with most power in Europe, with her beloved kingdom sidelined made her almost irrationally irked ).
With the eclipse now almost a distant memory ( at least to her - she did not doubt the others would not forget it for days ), Xuanji emerged from her chambers, intent on stretching her limbs after being seated by her desk in the hours after the celestial occurrence, browsing through the books on medicine. One of the perks of Switzerland was that their library was decent and she could find more... modern medicinal texts; if only to compare the knowledge between the eastern and western side of the Eurasian continent. But, while her initial thought was to venture to the aforementioned library, the crown princess instead found herself leisurely walking about the castle, her mind diverted elsewhere, until she spotted a family member striding in her direction. Xuanji was one of the people who normally avoided in-laws as much as she could ( only because she did not trust either one of them one bit ), but Sasso Corbaro was narrow and she did not doubt the prince had noticed her. So, instead of fleeing, the princess continued her even stride towards the general-prince and greeted him with a curtsy and a polite tone; “General. Are you going out for a walk?”
