It had been such a weird week for Steve, that he almost thought that perhaps he was cursed since those new paintings, sculptures and documents came into the archive room in the museum he currently worked at. The odd dreams he constantly had every night, it wasn’t something new and he already got used to it. But the persistent headache all of sudden while he was trying to decipher the documents into a readable writing, or when he was cleaning the old paintings carefully, was weird. It felt like someone cracked open his skull for a few minutes before it was gone almost completely, as if it never happened to him.
His usual doctor said she didn’t find anything about it, simply told Steve to get some rest considering his long list health problems as well. She might not be wrong, but after Stark announced the upcoming events and exhibition he wanted to have inside the museum, the blond couldn’t afford to take some days off just because he had a splitting headache that would come and go as its pleased.
So that was why he hired an assistant, hoping it could make his exhaustion and tension off from his body since he had another helping hand to work all of these documents. Steve sighed heavily, gulping down his already cold coffee before walking out from the office and greeted the potential assistant.
“Hello, you must be James Barnes,” he smiled weakly, offering his hand. “I’m Steve Rogers, the chief historian. I hope I didn’t make you wait for too long?”
